Simmo86 Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Won't change anything though. Sadly! Was in awe of our support on Tuesday, couldn't believe all 6000 were on there feet. Fantastic effort :appl:
thybluefox Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Was quality, fair play to police/stewards too tbh for letting us sing, banter with the mancs and stand without any hassle.
Ozwin Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 I don't understand why anyone would be against standing tbh.
Foxy shaun Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Standing at away games brings much better atmosphere! Leeds last night had half ground standing and place was rocking, doubt we could get that at the library(walkers stadium)
Marmite Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Brilliant night out, great to see so many fans turn up, proud to be a Leicester Fan
Adster Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 I'm a big fan of standing at away games, as i have for the last 6 away games i've been to. I get constantly annoyed by people telling me and my friends to sit down, and it happened again at Man City too. So as nicely as possible i told them to fvck off Can't see the problems of standing at away games, most fans do it, the ones who moan shouldn't bother coming.
Brainy Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 I don't understand why anyone would be against standing tbh. Same for anybody passionately for it.
Kitchandro Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Same for anybody passionately for it. Well football is all about passion isn't it.
Brainy Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Well football is all about passion isn't it. Doesnt really add up...
Liamlcfc1 Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 I enjoyed standing at Eastland as where i sat would not have seen much if i didnt was on row d right next to the man city fans was great
ajthefox Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Stewards were fine about standing, until you went IN THE MARKED BOX that was. DON'T STAND IN THE MARKED BOX!! errrr wtf man city?

What a stupid post this is, piss off telling me I should`nt go to away games, I have not missed a game, home or away, for 26 years, how`s YOUR record looking ?? in my younger day`s standing up for 90 mins was fine, now various bits of me bluddy ache when I stand for too long, I pay for a SEAT and prefer to sit in it, I still sing etc but enjoy sitting to watch my footie now, I`m looking forward to the day you stand in front of me because I will moan and if you nicely, or otherwise tell me to fcuk off, well, we`ll see what happens !!!!
martyn Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Think the "pro stand" brigade miss the point spectacularly each time this issue is raised. We're all supporters of LCFC, many of whom pay their money and travel thousands of miles to support the team in whatever way they deem fit over the course of a season. There are many fans who have genuine reasons for wanting to sit, and the spectacle I saw at Millwall where a group of standers were verbally abusing a family with young kids who could not see the game was one of the more shameful things I've seen at a football match. The attitude that comes across from some of you lot smacks of arrogance and an "ownership" of the support. The sooner safe standing is introduced the better.

So you're allowed to ruin our day by making us sit down but we can't ruin improve yours by making you stand up? Fair much?
CosbehFox Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 The last three posters I perfectly understand their point. What I find baffling is why don't sitters/standers use commonsense. Whenever I have a young kid behind me, I was always ask they can see or if they want to swap rows if theres an exact number which can swap. If this can't happen, I respectfully sit down. Little point becoming confrontational, just be clever.

Little point becoming confrontational, just be clever. Interesting, because I was in that exact situation - their was a young lad right behind me, everyone was standing around us so he must have seen very little indeed and of course I tried to help the situation BUT I wasn't going to sit down and see jack all myself. I imagine most away games wouldn't be a massive problem with there being at least a few empty seats/spaces to allow people who want to stand can go to the back while the sitters go to the front. That couldn't happen with the Man City game as we sold out the end, so no chance of a bit of sit or stand jiggery pokery. and on a lighter note, what I hate is how those people in those chairs with the wheels don't even stand up when we score! Just lazy!
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Slightly off topic, but if we can stand at Man City then why can't the whole end stand elsewhere ? Leeds for example, best support in the country vocally. Look at their end their all standing. Standing and Noise has an obvious correllation. Whilst Im talking abit about standing and atmosphere, would just like to say our away support has improved alot this year IMO standing and vocally .. Watford, Bristol City, Leeds, PNE, Man City, Barnsley all spring to mind. Well done to everyone, keep it going I don't think we're far from being the second best set of fans in the Championship.
MattyFromLE Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 So you're allowed to ruin our day by making us sit down but we can't ruin improve yours by making you stand up? Fair much? I think that's a little bit unfair. I have bad legs, and can't stand for more than about 30 mins and if you "ruined" the game for me for not sitting down once i was in pain - i'd be a little bit miffed that you wouldn't show another Leicester fan some compassion - same goes for the older generation of supporters who can't stand for long.. I'm all for standing like someone said above "safe-standing."
stever Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 You lot sounded and looked great on the TV. Proud of all of you!!
