Ultra Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 With Darren Bent moving to Villa this week, it seems that Heskey no longer figures in Houllier's plans there. Word reaches me that Sven has sussed this and will make a move next week to bring Emile back to Leicester. Let's just say it's a lot more likely to happen than the Given or Henry deals! Watch this space..
Ashley Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 If true this would be great however Carew has just gone to Stoke so would Villa really want to let go of Carew and Heskey? Doubt it. Was thinking Heskey might be available when I saw the bid had been accepted by Sunderland for Bent. Who knows, who knows. Let's wait and see hey?
cc_star Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Doubt it, Carew has gone Stoke - Heskey has been doing the business for Houlier so I doubt it, plus they could lose Young to ManU, ManC or Chelsea
1991FOX Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Carew never really figured in houlliers plans but with him going to stoke and Heskey playing well I don't think they'll allow him to leave. Would love this to happen though
Ashley Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Que posts such as: "Howard is better than Heskey" "Heskey is past it" Etc......
ajthefox Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Won't happen. Will people ever stop posting about fooking heskey? not that I wouldn't welcome him with open arms
Ultra Posted 21 January 2011 Author Posted 21 January 2011 My source from the national media seemed fairly certain it will happen. But like I said, watch this space..
MC Prussian Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Now all I need to be sure is Bert to confirm it.
Itsthejoeker Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Que posts such as:"Howard is better than Heskey""Heskey is past it"Etc...... "Heskey is better than Howard" "Howard is past it"
sdb Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 would be amazing but as has been said, Hesk is valued there and Carew is leaving (btw Stoke fans furious that Fuller is off to Sunderland)
stever Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Wow, never heard this before Anyone else feel that younger players will be needed instead of keep of bringing in older players mostly on loan?
Stig the Lawnmower Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Wow, never heard this before Anyone else feel that younger players will be needed instead of keep of bringing in older players mostly on loan? yes, definately.Heskey was a legend, but how long has he got left? We've got the Yak, and have already got a Bruno! We need a young goal poacher, not someone at the end of their career.
Ric Flair Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 But no trousers!!! Wahahahahaaa! I'll tee them up....
Christoph Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 I dont see why they would, also I dont see why we would get him if were playing 4-3-3 with yak as our main striker
Ric Flair Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 I dont see why they would, also I dont see why we would get him if were playing 4-3-3 with yak as our main striker Sven would happily play 4-4-2 if he could, but it would also mean bringing in another wide player which we need anyway.
Criggers Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 I think this has some legs. But Heskey's have gone...
Edmund Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 A Heskey - Yakubu frontline would be sensational.
stever Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 A Heskey - Yakubu frontline would be sensational. I agree, put I'd like to see someone on the frontline who could be there for 5, 6, 7 years not 1 or 2 thats all
lestajigs Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Id love him to come back, can't see it happening though!!
Petchy Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 But Heskey's have gone... I love how whenever we're linked with someone 30+, the answer is always 'legs gone' When have Heskey / Vieira / Beckham etc ever relied on their pace and acceleration as part of their game? Never.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Cant see Houllier letting Heskey go, he has always been a big fan of him and I'm sure he sees Darrnen Bent and Heskey as a real front two to mess with. Would love him to come back here though, he really would be sensational in this league.

Never. It was a joke, because that's the usual reply. And the next response is someone having a dig at the bloke who suggests their legs have gone I wanted to put a but i couldnt remember the text and i dont get emoticons on iphone. Only get on foxestalk via work comp between 10-10.45 <_<
