Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 If anyone really thinks that Heskey wouldnt do a job in the Championship they are deluded. All players say there is no better player to play with, in terms of him holding the ball and his movement. He would put in 10% always unlike the Yak too, and he couldnt be anything but a good signing at this level. The only thing tha would worry me is his fitnees, he seems to have picked up a fair few injuries of late.

Ashley Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 Should we sign Emile in the summer along with Yakubu and Kamara. What a forward line we would have, Heskey, Vassell, Yakubu, Kamara.
Narborough_fox Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 Should we sign Emile in the summer along with Yakubu and Kamara. What a forward line we would have, Heskey, Vassell, Yakubu, Kamara. Yet people would still be shouting for the messiah Martyn Waghorn.
Adster Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 Yet people would still be shouting for the messiah Martyn Waghorn. And still no doubt the Fryatt wankfest would still be about somehow
ousefox Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 Would love to see Heskey back, still got it and would be quality in the championship. People also seem to think he is just a lump upfront but he does actually have pace, and could probably play on the wing of the 433 if needed.
acooling08 Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 Yet people would still be shouting for the messiah Martyn Waghorn. Waghorn > Yak and Vassell Heskey would be great.. Kamara will hopefully be great.
STEVIE B Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 I don't understand why Waghorn gets so many poor posts. He is only 21 & still learning, loves the club ( he could've gone on loan ),and maybe just needs more than 15min to prove himself.Seems Yakubu is imune from being substituted, let alone dropped, and he can't live on his 4 goals in his first 6 games forever.
Fox92 Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 It would be good. Emile would give us some strength and height, another dimension up front (I know we have Steve Howard also but still) and it would be great to see Heskey return to Leicester. However, I can't see it happening. Carew has gone to Stoke and Heskey seems to play well under Houllier. Plus, hasn't he been injured for a while? But seeing as Ultra started the thread and his posts are usually sensible, I'll watch this space and hope

Yakubu is our only goal threat. Ok he may not have scored in a while but he's the kind of player that can chage a game and turn a chance into a goal. He'll be back. Once he's taken off, we have no other goal threat. Waghorn has the pace and works hard but has no control in his shot (see shooting practise before the game as an example - actually, one of his shots before the game hit me before the Norwich game!!)

Probably more. He's nearly in the top 5 (?) all time prem appearance makers though. Would be great personal achievement to get in there.
vandamman Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 Heskey, Vassell, Kamara, Yakubu. Maybe bring back Nielsen on a pay-as-you-throw basis, bonus for every long throw results in a goal. Throw like a corner. Well anyway back to the topic, I was in Morrisons earlier....

So ****ing what? Oh sorry I forgot, 'pashun'

MattyFromLE Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 I'd love to see Heskey back. 4-4-2 / 4-3-3 Heskey as target man and Waggy/Yak//Vassel either side?
Ambitious Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 I dunno why people are so eager to have him back, he left the club when he was 22, he's 11 years older now, if people think their gonna see the same player that helped win us the league cups then their completely deluded. The guys past it, he'll be good for The Championship, but when we go up he'll be no good to us whatsoever, we need players that are gonna be able help us get up and then maintain our top flight status and I don't think Mr. Heskey fits that bill.
sdb Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 He's still Prem quality, no doubt about it. Would be fantastic in the Championship which is where we'll be next season anyway.

In that case we better sell half of our team. We all know he isn't the player he was, just like every footballer, but if you wouldn't like to see him at the club then, well, I don't know, but, I personally think he's be brilliant at bringing other players into play, creating chances for his strike partner, etc.

Until we're mathematically unable to make 6th place we don't know what league we're going to be in, we can estimate but we don't know for sure.
