Ziggy1990 Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 won't be at the club come the summer. might as well start looking elsewhere for himself
DB11 Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 Hmm good move for Neilson? Think he could have done better
SMX11 Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 He is clearly a model pro but he just isn't good enough for us. Have nothing against the bloke and I wish him good luck.
DB11 Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 Oh and his long throw was useless. We never scored from it - I envisaged a Rory Delap-esque throw and big Steve scoring from corners when he signed
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 Thought he could get somewhere a bit better in League 1, but I think he'll do well there.
Walshy5 Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 Good ridance to bad rubbish! Hopefully he wont be back! Now can we try and ofload some more of the rif raf like lamey, Moreno and logan.
davieG Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 If a player is deemed not good enough for the team don't blame the player blame the manager that signed him - Not one of Pearson's best buys. Good luck to him always tries his best and that's all you can ask of a player, at least he wants to get out there and earn his wages.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 £12,500 off the weekly wage bill, although I doubt brentford are paying all of that. He was limited but always gave his best IMO, like the previous post, not one of NP's best signings. Good luck Robbie.
blueredswed Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 Good ridance to bad rubbish! Hopefully he wont be back! Now can we try and ofload some more of the rif raf like lamey, Moreno and logan. Moreno? Are you sure Perhaps someone for the future or has I missed something
FoxesFan100 Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 The bloke always gave 100% his skills were very limited for us, but he would keep running. Started this season brightly iunder sousa but we would never really have improved with Neilson at right back, the pace of other attackers would have done him all the time. Hope this move goes well for him.
OLD norfox Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 Not the best fullback, but he gave allways 100 %. Wish him the best
Rodders Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 Moreno? Are you sure Perhaps someone for the future or has I missed something One for the future? He's 29! Are you thinking of Vitor?
MrSpaM Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 Good move for Robbie, hope he does well for them It sounds like they need someone with experience at the back so he should do ok
ajthefox Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 Not good enough for us but wish him all the best as many have said he was never one to shy away from giving all he could. thought he could've done much better though.
Fox You Forest Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 Like the G man said you can't knock the lad for effort and not wanting to sit on his hands picking up his wages, think he'll do well in League One it's about his level.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 Like the G man said you can't knock the lad for effort and not wanting to sit on his hands picking up his wages, think he'll do well in League One it's about his level. League 1 his level or League 2 but he isnt good enough at this level certainly - but as everyone has said at least he put effort in when he played

NEW loan signing Robbie Neilson wants to stay at Brentford for the rest of the season. The Scottish international defender arrived on a one-month loan from Leicester City last week, and went straight into the starting XI for Tuesday night's victory against Tranmere. He has made just 11 appearances for the Championship side this season, and hasn't appeared in the league for the Foxes since September. And the 30-year-old is hoping he can do enough over the next few weeks to convince caretaker boss Nicky Forster to keep him at Griffin Park. He said: "I've still got 18 months on my contract at Leicester, so we'll reassess things in the summer. "The investors have brought in new players, and there's a few old boys like myself who would probably be looking to move on. "There's a good set-up here and hopefully I can stay until the end of the season. "Leicester have a squad of 28, so I can't see the gaffer standing in my way. Before I left he said he wanted me to stay, but I want to be playing football not sitting in the stand."
Darkon84 Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Fair play to the guy, always put the effort in, seemed a true professional, shame he just wasnt good enough. all the best braveheart. Needs to work on those throws though haha
