MPH Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Hows free 'semi' decent ?. Just because something is free doesn't mean they would want to go - i understand they didn't 'sell' all 500 tickets.... we must have over 10,000 season ticket holders... 14,000 did i read somewhere... My point about calling it semi decent was more aimed at the scale of the benefit. Most season tickets holders look for benefits that would give them perks for the game or discounts in the club shop... stuff like that... How ever i DID say i was impressed in my original post as this is definitely a step in the right direction... EDIT: it is worth pointing out that i am neither a season ticket holder or someone who went to this.
Ashley Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Very interesting so far. Some good questions and some good answers from Sven and Faz. Last question before the break. Q: Sven is it true the girls in Leicester are more B E A u tiful then the girls in Rome? A: errr I don't know, you'll have to take me out so I can see. Svens never managed at Wembley(both) yet. Written on the cards for this seaso?

Written on the cards for this season? I've said it before Leeds 1-2 Leicester (Play off final) Bamba to score the winner

somebum Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Talk about suckers for punishment! I'd rather dip my eyeballs in acid than sit through an entire evening with possibly besides Clarkson the world's most boring man
Haydos Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Talk about suckers for punishment! I'd rather dip my eyeballs in acid than sit through an entire evening with possibly besides Clarkson the world's most boring man Your opinion is now void.
hackneyfox Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 From CG69 on Bentleys 1. He rates Wellens as the best technical footballer at the club. 2. He will not quit Leicester ( only ever quit 1 club Lazio to take the England job ) and would sign a new contract now. 3. 2 players he rates the highest in the Championship other than ours are Sinclair and Pratley from Swansea. 4. If he had an open cheque book he would sign Messi. 5. All players at club now are positive ones. He got rid of all the negative talking ones which you assumed were Hobbs and Fryatt. 6. You have to pay Premierships clubs a fee usually to loan players. However an interesting thing he came up with was the 2 Chelsea loanees. He says they have agreed loan fees but the more times he plays the Chelsea duo the cheaper it becomes as Chelsea effectively pay us money back from the " loan fee " every game they play. This raised a few eyebrows but he said this didn't influence his decision on picking them but joked the owners were happy when he did. All in all a decent evening and Sven came across very well.

That's very interesting, didn't realise this system was in place. I assume that's common for most Prem clubs loaning out younger players. I'm not sure how much truth there is in him saying it doesn't affect their selection. And your mates have to do it every day. Waaaaaaaheeeeeey!
David Guiza Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Things that stood out for me would be. 1. Tunchev being first in the gym and training working so hard day in day out. 2. Sven not being afraid to sell big players if they have a negative attitude (Fryatt)

21st Century Fox Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Thanks for the updates on this guys, much appreciated
Thracian Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 I got the impression Tunch won't play again. Me too and at the very best there was no optimism that he'd make a return anytime soon.
escape2victory Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Would of been interesting to hear about his recruitment policy going forward. The only thing that sits slightly uneasy with Sven is everything that he has done is very short term, of course looking to get us promoted asap and building when we get there. Will be interesting to see the type of player he identifies in the summer. Young and hungry players or older more experienced "marquee" players. Selling players and replacing them with quality loanees is all well and good short term, but its not in my opinion a long term viable way of running a club.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 I got the impression Tunch won't play again. Yea the way Birch said he "WAS" a great player the "WHEN" he played for us
David Guiza Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Got to admire his commitment, he deserves it but I'd probably agree with both Thracian and Bert. I was also happy to hear that a few players stayed behind to practice their finishing, would have helped on saturday obviously.
Darkon84 Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Not really worth a new topic, but i know a few will be with me on it..
