davieG Posted 23 March 2011 Posted 23 March 2011 From the Merc Kamara is one of eight first-team players on international duty. Full-backs Kyle Naughton and Ben Mee are with England under-21s, Jeffrey Bruma is with Holland under-21s, Sol Bamba is with the Ivory Coast squad in Africa, Miguel Vitor is with Portugal under-23s, and Andy King is with Wales for Saturday's big European Championship qualifier against England in Cardiff. Midfielder Yuki Abe is also away, playing a benefit game for the victims of the devastating earthquake in Japan. In addition, first-team fringe players Elliott Chamberlain (Wales under-21s), Leon Crncic (Slovenia under-21s), George Taft (England under-19s) and Danny Uchechi (Nigeria under-23s) are also with their national teams.
zubi Posted 23 March 2011 Posted 23 March 2011 So much for a nice refreshing break to help our promotion push!
davieG Posted 23 March 2011 Author Posted 23 March 2011 A change of environment and company can act as a boost and respite from the normal day to day activities provided it doesn't involve long tiring journeys.
21st Century Fox Posted 23 March 2011 Posted 23 March 2011 Cue, "Why did Sven bring in all these International standard players who are just going to bugger off all the time and get tired playing for their countries."
purpleronnie Posted 23 March 2011 Posted 23 March 2011 Hey, Why did Sven bring in all these International standard players who are just going to bugger off all the time and get tired playing for their countries?

I didn't realise Uchechi was older than Steve Howard
Starkwell Posted 23 March 2011 Posted 23 March 2011 I cannot conceive how Gallagher hasn't got a call up for Scotland, they are so desperate for some quality and he's certainly on form right now.
Bugg Posted 23 March 2011 Posted 23 March 2011 I cannot conceive how Gallagher hasn't got a call up for Scotland, they are so desperate for some quality and he's certainly on form right now. Remember that they have Craig "4-6-0" Levein in charge. He wouldn't know quality if it slapped him in the face.
David Guiza Posted 23 March 2011 Posted 23 March 2011 I think the last time Gallagher played they lost 4-0 to Wales. But would be very deserved. It took them a while to consider Commons as well to be fair though.

Webbo Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 :scarf:   Bless. A win against Scotland, you must be so proud.
Guest NGoloMode Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 Naughton is playing well in the first half.
leicesterisme Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 Put a great ball over there to set up the 4th goal. 4-0
Kenners Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 Great ball from Naughton for Englands 4th goal. Playing well.
shen Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 I hope he wasn't too good... Hardly put a foot wrong actually.
ajthefox Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 I hope he wasn't too good... I don't think it'll make too much difference in terms of other teams being aware of him, if that's why you said it.. He's already in the shop window, any team who might want him for next season will already have him on the radar I rekon
The Doctor Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 How can crncic be in the slovenia U-21's squad? He doesn't exist.
Narborough_fox Posted 27 March 2011 Posted 27 March 2011 Looking at all our internationals it beggers belief how Gallagher isn't in the Scotland squad. I mean Craig Mackail-Smith over Gallagher. Really?
