ozleicester Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 God Pearson couldnt use him properly in the style he played.
wattolcfc Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 His goal today was cracking. I will never know. I always thought he would be useful and he's reaping the rewards of playing week in week out with Leeds. Think we sold him for about 200k aswel.. what a joke!
Ambitious Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 In the few games he played for us in the Championship, he didn't look the best and Pearson must have come to the assumption that he wouldn't be able to cope in The Championship, which is most likely why he agreed to loan him out to Leeds, then later sell him. It was an extremely bad decision, but the Club over the years have been known to make stupid decisions when it comes to Buying and Selling players.
lcfcsnow Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 In the few games he played for us in the Championship, he didn't look the best Not surprising given the restrictions he was under and trying to fit into Pearson style of play. Pearson preferred Lloyd Dyer and I think that says it all..

Matt Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Only thing I can question Pearson on, well bringing Dickov back too, but I'm almost certain that was Mandaric. Anyway it's in the past.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Because Pearson knew that in about two years time he wouldn't be here and that Sven would be trying to sign Jimmy Kebe for us. Why the fook did I never ask NP what the lottery numbers were??

lcfcsnow Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Lloyd Dyers a left winger, gradels a right winger, could've easily played them both Don't be daft, cautious Pearson would never have allowed that to happen, especially with Matt Oakley available.
Haydos Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Seriously? Get the fook over it. This. And to the OP, did you say this when we sold him? I'm sure you knew all along he was top class and told everyone he was going to be a massive success. Brainless.
funkyrobot Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 At least we've got the ronaldo of the championship for another year - magical matty Oakley
Trav Le Bleu Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Because he wasn't showing any signs of fulfilling his potential. It wasn't right for him here, it was never going to happen. If he'd stayed he might had rotted away to obscurity in the reserves - who knows? He moved to Leeds and improved, fair play to him, he moved on and it worked out. Now I suggest you do the same.

Moving on is good advice, however to say max gradel wasn't showing any signs of fulfilling his potential is frankly bullish*t, I was genuinely shocked when we let him go, he was one of my favourite players & showed bags of potential, skill & passion. The truth is it seems more likely is that he didn't fit into Nigel pearsons vision which in my opinion was one of his biggest mistakes. ...to suggest gradel wasn't good when here is b0ll0cks sorry!
FoxesFan123 Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 The reason he was sold is because we were too good for league one. Once we had a settled team and were winning games, it was just too hard to change it and bring Gradel in. He eventually went out on loan, did well and wanted to stay there, at which point the decision is almost completely out of MM/Pearsons hand.
