TheUltimateWinner Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 Only 5 Points off now... C'mon you blues! EDIT: 1 Point off 7th Too
shen Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 A win versus Palace and results go our way, then a win at Reading then we could well be in 6th. It's a BIG if but playing like we did today, we CAN do it. It'd be a minor miracle to catch up within the six games left, but to do it within two games is a tad 'theoretical' wouldn't you say?
Ozwin Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 There's always one team that makes a late push, it's going to be us.
lestajigs Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 There's always one team that makes a late push, it's going to be us. Yea look at blackpool last season!! Wonder what the table looked like this time last season with 6 games to go!!
davieG Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 There's always one team that makes a late push, it's going to be us. I think that's Reading.
Merchant Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 Take it game by game, but if we play like we did today for 6 more games then we're in with a great shout.
Webbo Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 A course it's all over.....U knob sucking tripod.....get a wife FFS.......In Spend we Spend... What are the odds that Ibbosuck won't be posting tonight?
The Padster Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 I think that's Reading. Alright, we're going to make a late late push for the playoffs.
The Padster Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 What are the odds that Ibbosuck won't be posting tonight? What odds on that he makes one or two more incoherent ones like the previous.
ibbosuk Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 You sad, strange little man. I'm not little I'm massive.......BTW.
Haydos Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 This is why I don't understand people who have given up on us. It's so tight down to 11th that you can't really take it more than a game at a time. Each week things are changing massively. Although a shit result for us and teams around us picking up points would probably seal it, it hasn't happened yet. Keep the faith and all that jazz.
topharry123 Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 It's not over, think we really need to take 16 out of 18 though. We can get 77, max, Leeds are 13 off that and the rest a minimum of 11. We're cutting it close but its doable
Tom17LCFC Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-championship/2009-2010/table/2010-04-10 that was the table at around this point last year, so Blackpool were loads closer than we currently are. Still reckon we can do it, but 1 more defeat and i'll start looking to next season. EDIT: forget the above link and comment. this link shows the table with 6 games left which is where we are now: http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-championship/2009-2010/table/2010-03-30 they were 4 pts off and we're 5. if they did it surely we can?!
the_foxes_till_i_die Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 ive done the predictor and maybe a little bias but cmon its city , i ended up with this 1 QPR 91 2 Swansea 82 3 Cardiff 82 4 Norwich 79 5 Reading 76 6 Leeds 74 gd+11 7 Leicester 72 gd +9 Which would be a VERY interesting last day with us at home against ipswich wanting payback for the snowy game and Leeds away at QPR
harryboi72 Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 things are looking good now, we can still make the play offs and we will make the play offs, if the players, the coaches and the fans unite we can make it to the premiership this year, now is our time, 7 long years we can end if we just pull together for the last 6 games of the season, our time has come, with the resources we have at our disposal we can become a great team. we have history and if us lads get behind the team and lift them through the last 6 games then it will happen, our dreams will come true, come on you foxes
lestajigs Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-championship/2009-2010/table/2010-04-10'>http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-championship/2009-2010/table/2010-04-10 that was the table at around this point last year, so Blackpool were loads closer than we currently are. They were 5 points off Swansea, who they over took last day so.......... We need to do a Blackpool
ian_marshall Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 I would normally have thought we'd be out of it, but the fact that we have another 3 games against teams who are challenging for the playoffs gives us hope. If we can win those games then we'll be right back in the mix and deservedly so given the standard of opposition. The other teams have a tricky run in too so it's going to be a real interesting finale to the season end. Let's just hope the boys don't slip up along the way.
Guest Bilo Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 I get this. QPR 94 pts Norwich 86 pts----------------------- Cardiff 84 pts Swansea 83 pts Reading 80 pts Leicester 72 pts------------------------- Millwall 71 pts Leeds 70 pts
ithuriel Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 We would have to win our remaining games and hope leeds blow up and drop out of the top six because i can not see the other sides there falling away, we would also have to hope the other sides above us but not in the top six drop away too. I am still looking to next season but a very faint hope still exists.
MattyFromLE Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 I think we can beat Forest. A point away at Reading would suffice. Win our home matches, and you never know...
Guest Bilo Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Leeds don't have an easy run-in, Forest are going backwards badly and Millwall have over-achieved. I think 4 wins and a draw could very well do it.
One Arm Babba Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 3pts against palace then 3 pts away at reading and then lets see where we sit.

I am still looking to next season but a very faint hope still exists. You realise we're playing Forest and Reading? And Leeds have the likes of Reading, Burnley, Watford and QPR? There's still plenty to play for IMO. Odds are against us but I wouldn't like to say who'll take 6th place
purpleronnie Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 we need to win every game, even if we do I'm not confident it will be enough.
