FowFTW Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Yea and history is against us there as well as the fact their a good side, battling for the same place and have a very good manager in Eddie Howe, we haven't beaten Burnley at Home since 1995 in the League Cup, we haven't beaten them in the league at home since 1978! statistics mean **** all
leicesterseddon Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 A win against Norwich was a must. Then a win against Portsmouth was a must. A win today was a must. Time's running out - in fact, I think time has run out on the play-off push. To lose from 3-1 up today also showed the players have given up too - and that showed in the second half against Portsmouth. We can't defend. To score 3 away from home and not win, at this stage of the season, is not good enough for the play-offs. I mean having said that, Sven has still done a good job if you look at where we were when he took over. But I really don't think we can make it now. Over-reliance on loan players may cause us huge problems next season...
Narborough_fox Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 It's incredible to think despite not playing well since 1st half of Derby we are only 4 point off the play-offs. We do now need to beat Burnley to stand any chance of getting into the Play-offs.
dannythefox Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 if we win every game then will be in if we dont we'll be alot better next year!

philce Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Am I the only one who can see the Trees shit run ending against us?
Corky Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 I think it is, Reading look well set for sixth and we won't catch Leeds or Cardiff. Have to try again next year.
acooling08 Posted 3 April 2011 Author Posted 3 April 2011 We have 7 games (21 points) up for grabs still. Palace, Doncaster and Ipswich are all very winnable. Burnely, Reading, Watford, Forest are so crucial now but if we can get 7 or 8 points from them then we could nick 6th place. I honestly believe this Yak-Kam partnership could be very lethal. If we start defending again then we can win at least 5 of these games! SUPPORT THE LADS UNTIL IT IS MATHEMATICALLY IMPOSSIBLE!
ozleicester Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 Now, it has been recognised in the past i tend to be a little optimistic, but below are my results for the upcoming games and apart from Florist where we will have a real fight, the rest are all very winable. Burnley (H) .............. w 3 Palace (H) ............... w 3 Reading (A) ............ w 3 Florist (A) ............... d 1 Watford (H) ........... w 3 Donny (A) ............ w 3 Ipswich (H) ............ w 3 19 points = total 75 points "Should" be enough :sge: Edit.... Damn just did the predictor and finished in 7th (75 points but still 7th)
lestajigs Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 If we win are next two home games we will be sniffing around the play offs again, BUT I cannot see us getting results at reading and forest!!

I am supporting them, I always will, but should Reading win their game in hand on Tuesday we'll be 7 points off sixth. We've picked up 5 points in the last seven games.
richardsfoxes Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 Its over, there's no point listing games as "Very winnable", we've been listing these games for 3 months now and everytime we have fallen short to teams we should be beating, its obviously still possible mathsmatically, i cant see it. Maybe next season
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 i hate being pessemistic but sadly i am by nature a glass half empty boring idiot - sorry but we havent got a chance
The Doctor Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 it's not over until the fat lady sings but they've just loaded her onto the fork-lift truck to bring her onto the stage, time is well and truely running out.
accessory Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 What about when Roy Orbison sings? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjMfQG4DejQ
The Doctor Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 What about when The Klaxons sing? mass suicide occurs. Actually i quite like the klaxons.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 If PNE get something at Reading on Tuesday we have chance, but a Reading win and it is all well and truly over. 7 points is too big of a gap. PNE get something then we need to win both the next two home games then beat Reading.
ibbosuk Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 I along with everyone else is sickened and depressed by our agonising draw against Boro today but if you look at the table we have in fact gained a point on the play offs. (We were 5 off, now 4). We played pretty well today except for some poor defending. Burnely is now the make or break. But for now, the play offs remain a possibility. If we can tighten up at the back, and the Yak-Kam partnership performs like today then we will be there or there abouts at the end of the season. A course it's all over.....U knob sucking tripod.....get a wife FFS.......In Spend we Spend...

shen Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 WHAT DID I TELL YOU? Back in it. I would've still believed had Forest held onto a point today. As it stands we depend wholly on Leeds slipping up without counting the teams around us who'll believe they're in with a chance as well. It's hard to see us making up the 7 (effectively 8 points with the GD) points on Reading with six games to go.

A win versus Palace and results go our way, then a win at Reading then we could well be in 6th. It's a BIG if but playing like we did today, we CAN do it.
lestajigs Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 There 6 games to go it's not over at all guys, BUT we need results against reading and forest
