Parafox Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 What was that about 4 points off play-offs, It wasn't a good performance against a pretty negative and dis-jointed palace side. Frustrating, now we have to beat READING
Fox 4 Life Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 What a load of shit, sums up our season can't get any consistency when it matters.
VinceNoir Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 Frustrating to say the least.. We now HAVE to win the rest I believe. Hopefully playing against Forest and Reading, they won't play 10-0-0 as Palace apparently did. We seem to play much better against teams that make gaps for us. Having said that, beating Reading will be a huge task. I fancy them for autos.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 I'll try and look at it positively, at least we didn't lose and we are a tiny bit closer. Though Leeds won't lose every game so it is 2 big points dropped. Makes Reading away a big game!
Les-TA-Jon Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 Sums up our season - no consistency - can't finish
Stevosevic Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 I feel pretty cheated by that, i would love to go and knock a few heads together in the changing room.
dave the caveman Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 Yet. Another. Missed. Opportunity. We can have no complaints about not getting to the play offs. Since that bizzare almost mythical run of victories we've been a bottom half team. We don't look likely to improve.
Parafox Posted 12 April 2011 Author Posted 12 April 2011 We are, once again, the nearly men of this league Why were palace players getting nasty at the end of the game?
Guest shearfox Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 That was a massive chance to get right on the back of Leeds and yet again we play a shocker. Every game must now be a win in my view.
Neil_LCFC Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 A draw at home against the worst away side in the division , who have 6 points from 20 games before tonight is just not good enough I'm afraid.
the_foxes_till_i_die Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 i had us down for 2wins and a draw from the next 3 games!! theres the draw
martyn Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 If you can't put away a poor side like Palace, at home, in our biggest game of the season, we don't deserve anything. Criminal how many opportunities we've been given, and subsequently squandered.
sdb Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 'Inconsistent' isn't accurate enough. Never known a side spurn so many opportunities in my life.
lcfc_jme Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 Missed opportunity which only serves to highlight our inconsistency - the point I made earlier on today. I'll be honest though, if I was asked before kickoff whether I'd sacrifice 3 points in this game to see us beat Forest away next week, I'd have given a resounding "yes".
Salieri Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 Let the scapegoating commence...... *waits for Weale is shit thread to be started*
Trav Le Bleu Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 On RL someone just said "typical City, always the bridesmaid, never bride". Which is why we've won this division more times than any other team except Man City. In anycase, we're inconsistant. We'd be worse next year if we got promoted, I could see it being a nightmare. Let's just try and storm this division next year and equal Man City.
Parafox Posted 12 April 2011 Author Posted 12 April 2011 We cruised Saturday and palace aren't much better than Burnley (if at all) so what did Sven do that made us look so poor tonight? There will be teams around us that will knock us down a place even if we are only 4 points adrift at this moment
hackneyfox Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 Just need to worry about Leeds Forest and Millwall. We've gained a point on Leeds. I don't see us doing it though. Dyer hardly touched the ball and if Howard did then it didn't go to a player in blue. At least Yakubu missed a chance.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 I had: PALACE - WIN, READING - DRAW, FOREST - WIN Now its got to be: PALACE - DRAW, READING - WIN, FOREST - WIN Chins up.

We don't beat teams that close us down, at least Forest and Reading won't play that game.

Do that for the next five games and we'll just do it.
