Itsthejoeker Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Remember what he said when he was dropped though? And I remember Vitor trying to avoid passing to him against reading. Bruma comes across as a right knob in his interviews as well Mee's tweets had nothing to do with Bruma. They just said that he didn't know why he was dropped. Somehow I don't think Vitor was boycotting him...
Babylon Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 See how he goes in the remaining games. I have seen hints of brilliance from him (mainly going forward to be fair), a couple of things he did in the Cov game especially were a class apart. There have of course been the many moments of being average, with a few poor thrown in. I'm not buying into the he's shit, it's all his fault nonsense. Nor the he's amazing sign him up... but I think there is a lot more to come from the lad though.
dannythefox Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 As a midfield player yes because he holds the ball well and loves getting forward. As a defender no jack hobbs back please.
cc_star Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Would sooner see Mee & Vitor back TBH Whichever young lad comes back (if any) I don't think there's a place for Bamba We need one old head & one of either Bamba, Hobbs, Bruma, Vitor, Mee... we cannot go through a whole season with 2 teenagers again.

Absolutely agree...
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 A player that's got caps for Holland and has featured for Chelseas first team doesn't become a bad player over 4 or 5 games. Needs time to settle in to our team and find his best position (ala Kisnorbo).....
Kitchandro Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 In defence no way. However I've not seen him play in midfield so I don't want to judge him there.
Corky Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 I think he's a good player that will have a good career. Whether that will be with us remains to be seen. I've seen positives and negatives during his spell here.
Cat Burger Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 ? thats exactly what I'm not saying...we need an older, tougher orrible sod thats proven at Championship level..I dont' think this would need much money, just good scouting of the right sort of player... You've confused me here... Soz Micky Adams. Think we've been there before.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Soz Micky Adams. Think we've been there before.
Libertine Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 I think some people are getting too bogged down in this 'experienced Championship players' obsession due to how QPR have done this year. We certainly need some leadership and steel at the back, but it's hardly impossible to find that elsewhere, look at how well someone like Tunch did coming from abroad.
bigneville Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Not for me. Based on his performance since his arrival, he has been far from good enough. You cannot keep a player based on one half decent game in a meaningless game at the end of the season. His position is clearly at centre half, and Chelsea will want him playing there if he is to come back again. So on this basis and the fact that his performances for us have been poor. I don't want him.
Mav Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Soz Micky Adams. Think we've been there before. And it worked. If sven adopted a similar approach WITH cash we could be onto a winner
21st Century Fox Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 At the end of the day he's a Dutch U21 player, he does have bags of potential and could really improve and hopefully mature if he stuck around for another season. The only worrying part is with the deal he's on here meaning we pay less the more he plays may mean that Sven gets leaned on to play him more often and would Chelsea agree to him staying if it meant playing him out of position in midfield, surely they'd want him to be developing his game in defence. I'd have him but with the hope he matures abit.
Fosse Boy Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 As with all our loans would want to see them going permanent and committing to the club rather than merely extending. Doing ourselves no favours if we're just developing other club's talent for them.
Donut Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 Hasnt impressed me enough to want him back next season, despite his Dutch honours and high rating at Chelsea. Do you guys not also think its a little contradictory that after the Reading game Sven admitted he had made 'mistakes' in the players he had brought in at the back, noting their lack of experience and youthfulness and the fact that there was no blend of youth and experience at the back, yet despite this, his interview after the Watford game suggested he would be pursuing all of the loan players he has used at the back, i.e vitor, naughton, mee, bruma. Is this just a case of theyve had a taste of the championship and next season theyll be that much stronger? Cant see us getting Naughton or Vitor anyway really, and im unsure over Mee.
davieG Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 His parents were in the crowd so he was more interested in getting their attention than inviting adulation from team mates. He's only 19.
MrSpaM Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 Still not too sure on the guy, but lets put it this way, if we had the choice between playing him or Bamba, i'd be picking Bruma every day of the week.
Corky Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 As with all our loans would want to see them going permanent and committing to the club rather than merely extending. Doing ourselves no favours if we're just developing other club's talent for them. Agreed. I can understand the loans this season as Sven had no transfer window to sign players, but we should be looking at a mostly permanent squad for next year.
lcfc_jme Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 Guy's got bags of potential and will no doubt improve the more he gets to play. Yes he has made mistakes at times in defence, but those mistakes have come alongside Bamba who has largely escaped criticism for awful displays as Bruma was an easier scapegoat and Bamba is something of a cult hero. I actually think alongside Vitor, Bruma looked a lot better playing at CB. But maybe that's just me? If Sven wants to keep him, and he wants to be here, then I'd go with that. He's seemingly better in the defensive midfield role (largely speaking his two best performances this season were Cardiff away and Watford at home in that role) which is what people want us to have, and if we were really pressed he could also do a job at CB, as he did at Forest (where he wasn't THAT bad) and I think away at QPR?
Ashby Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 If he wants to sign SGE will have him - he is god in Svens eyes. It does not matter what we think - we could rant on here for hours and lose every game but Sven rates him and if the money is good enough he will be our player next season - We must back the manager - after all in Sven we trust. Heres to next season!!!!!! Onwards and Upwards!
Bettsj2 Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 The majority of fans are always looking for players who show a commitment to Leicester. 'if he dont wanna be ere ven gerridorrim'. Bruma said he wants to come back so I would definitely have him. He's had some shaky moments but he's a young lad that will come on and develop. If we dont have him then he'll go somewhere else next season, become a superstar and we'll be shaking our heads thinking of what might have been.
