Surely Sven doesnt have the funds to buy CMS for 3 million and Maynard for say another 3-4???

There's every indication that he has. We don't really know but I'd prefer if that sort of money wasn't spent to be honest. Pretty obsene for any player let alone one that hasn't got a good sick record and hasn't played above Championship level.

A bi thing for Maynard is that his girlfriend is pregnant, and therefore he wants a good deal for his family.

It wouldn't surprise me to see him stay. Bristol City have offered him a two-year extension to double his money to nearly £25k a week.

After the season he's just had he might well be happy to stay on at least another year and sign te deal in front of him.

As long as the owners aren't putting the club at risk, I think I'm ok with it. These are players that I would be happy signing if we had just been promoted to be honest. Look at Norwich, QPR and Wolves going after the same targets. So if we are promoted next season, these players could make the step-up to the Prem and also already had a full season to gel together.

It's crazy to think we have this kind of money but It's dam exciting too!!

£3m or £4m for Mackail-Smith and Maynard, considering the goals they have scored is no more than current value. Proven goal scorers at Prem level would cost over £10m, what are you on???

Raise your sights, enjoy what is happening and join the rest of those Leicester City fans who marvel at the prospects for the coming season.

On the other hand, if it's all too much for you, walk with a well behaved puppy along the quiet banks of a river on Saturday afternoons and don't get excited about anything.

As for his injuries, he broke his leg once I believe some time ago, which can happen to anyone, and he had a knee injury last season until Feb, at which time once healed and he was fully fit he scored 6 goals in 13 games.

Oh but of course, he is injury prone 'cos maybe his leg hasn't healed and the 6 goals in 13 games was a mirage!

Millen seems to have back-tracked a bit about selling NM. Sounds like they will cash in if he doesn't sign by August. Their board/manager are sweating a bit now :D

Not saying we'll get him but their tune has changed.

Sven won't wait until the end of August, he would go elsewhere, and I doubt BCFC would risk leaving it more than a week if he doesn't sign a new deal with them in the next few days.

thats from the same paper that said we were signing Micheal Owen and the club banned a few times from press conferances I'd pay no attention to it,

They print rumours from the forums and then use a comments like "offiacals at the club" wehn its some one on the forum,

We even changed the name of it to Tomorrow's headline for the evening post and it still posted crap from it,

any comments from millen you'd be better off reading our offical site the beeb or Sky sports,

Theres more truth on that Football Rumours website then there is in the evening post

Pretty obvious he is going to see out his contract and walk, BCFC should have accepted when they had the chance if we did make an offer.

I hope he strings them on for a couple more weeks and then hopefully BCFC get really desperate to sell him on as hes disrupting their pre season plans, thats where cheeky Sven comes in with a bid of £2.5 million and they accept...MAYNARD SIGNS FOR LEICESTER CITY!!!

Ignore Monkeh, read his shite on OTIB, one of them who's adamant their as big/ambitious as us.

lol

Can't blame Monkeh i suppose, no one likes to see their better players leave but if they are going to go it is best to get the money and spend wisely.

Come on Sven, sort this one out! He's back from holiday now, make them an offer they cant refuse. Out of all the players we've been linked with Maynard is the one who I want us to sign the most.

lol Are you joking?

In the CMS thread you complained that people shouldn't want CMS because he's overpriced.

I wasn't talking money, I was talking about Sven teaching Millen how to be one with the ladies.

are buy out clasues actually leagal in this country? I know that in Italy and Spaing etc it's written in the rules from their FA that all contracts require a buy out fee, but as far as I'm aware it isn't allowed in this country, could be wrong

From my understanding it's not compulsory to have it in a contract, but they can be put in there. I'm sure there was one in the Phil Jones contract.
