I think he`s just watching to see who svens after, and thinks, sven can spot a player, he must be good, i`ll go for him. :crylaugh:

To be fair there's so few targets, it's always going to be ambitious Champ clubs, lower Prem clubs and the Scottish pair that are always going for all of the same targets

Maynard's price will only increase if we've missed out on Mackail-Smith

Hopefully he will have a hissy fit, and hand in a transfer request, forcing them in to accepting a grab bag of walkers prawn cocktail and a pint of semi skimmed milk for him :D

*taps fingers impatiently*

This feels dead in the water to me, perhaps missing out on CMS will sharpen people's minds

lets hope he puts in a transfer request...just dont want to spend £4mil tho.

if only the Yak wasnt so greedy in his wage demands

Bert did say we was upping our bid this week. Give it some time to happen! We've had just over 4 hours of the working day so nothing will come out in that time.

Important we pull out all the stops in getting a quality striker now, and Maynard would certainly fit the bill.

We don't need to get our pants pulled down on the price though.

Right! I want twitter rumours, increasing bids, a series of statements from the Bristol Chairman sounding less and less confident, some good intel from Bert and an actual signature on the bottom line by then end of the week! Get it done.

Not sure, I wouldn't expect it to be long, but it's basically what everyone is guessing. New deal with Prem get-out clause, as far as I'm aware.

Next few days at the longest I would guess, but possibly very soon.

WTF is that bloke on about further up????

"Leicester have recently come out in the press saying sven has 5m to spend on TWO strikers to improve their squad so i highly doubt they will table an offer of 2.5m for Nicky... unless there now only after 1 striker, but even so they only have 5m max to spend on one! that plus the club have already said they wont sale to another Championship club! and nicky has said he wont join another Championship club...

Conclusion: there wasting there time!!"

Idiot.

C'mon Sven, push the boat out. We need at least one more striker,

All these great defenders we're getting and no strikers - I see lots of 0-0 results next season.

well we haven't even nailed down most of the defenders yet so i'd be happy with anything at this point. gone from looking great on weds/thurs last week to doom and gloom this week. that's football though

It's not just one person that are apparently ITK that think that Nicky is signing a new contract. Obviously it's hard to trust someone over an internet forum so we'll have to wait and see.

I think with the Craig Mackail Smilth situation we have all learned not to listen to anything you here until its finalised.

My personal opinion is that if we offered 4 million they would struggle to turn it down. A lot of money for someone who is injury prone
