Brown Fox Posted 11 June 2011 Posted 11 June 2011 He's proven to be 28 not like Kanu and Obafemi. Why do people hate on him so much!?!??
StanSP Posted 11 June 2011 Posted 11 June 2011 He's proven to be 28 not like Kanu and Obafemi. Why do people hate on him so much!?!?? Scores too many goals and doesn't run around.
That lad from Japan Posted 11 June 2011 Posted 11 June 2011 Well for some reason fellow City fans want a striker to run around like Iain Hume and work hard, not score goals. Goals seem to count for nothing in LCFC minds. As long as you try like Heskey you are a hero.
Kierzz Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Surely this would never happen: http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/West-Ham-transfer-news-Yakubu-Leicester-move-in-doubt-after-Sam-Allardyce-shows-interest-in-bringing-Everton-striker-to-Upton-Park-article746326.html I hope it doesn't
CKB Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Hopefully just lazy jounalism for when he was linked with them...
80footgiraffe Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 That wont happen, yak wants to come to us, its only cause he was linked last season. He'll be at lcfc next season.
dpjfox Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 im surprised other teams have not been linked thus far, although West Ham are the obvious choice for lazy journalism
ian_marshall Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Is their interest irrelevant? My understanding was that we had first option on him as part of the loan deal. I may be wrong, if anyone can enlighten me.
Lcfclee Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Come back Yakubu we love you and you haters go support forest
80footgiraffe Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 The yak will be signing in the next couple of days Yakubu – Forever a fans’ favourite at Goodison due to his buffeting exploits down through the years, the Yak is never going to be able to produce the goods regularly at the top level any more – hence his recent loan and imminent permanent move to Championship side Leicester. www.whoeateallthepies.com
muzzy1981 Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Reckon he'd bag a lot of goals with a pre/full season, its what he does. It's a financial risk though a 2 year contract will cost us 3.6m. Doubt we can afford the yak and emile on the books. Imo id prefer emile and a couple of proven champ goalscorer. Think the yak might upset the squad on a fat wage and lazy style.

steel city fox Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 TBH I'd rather have Yak and Nuggent up front then Heskey. Don't think having 2 cumbersome forwards with no pace is the way to go, we may as well bung Ian marshal up there too. I love heskey as much as the next city fan, but don't see it as a wise move.

I hope Yak does not sign because he is moody, the goals will dry up, as they did at Everton. No very bad idea. W. Ham can take him for me.

We should get into the sport science side of the game.
RowlattsFox Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Think its just his agent in an attempt to boost his wages.

I think Everton supporters will know what I mean far better than you.
jonw88 Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Since when did West Ham have the money to fork out on players like Yakubu and Nolan, I thought they were up sh1t creek without a paddle moneywise

Webbo Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 He's proven to be 28 not like Kanu and Obafemi. Why do people hate on him so much!?!?? That's a bit of a childish response isn't it? Somebody can be sceptical of his effectiveness/age/work rate without hating him. If I genuinely believed he was that age (look at his face, that's not the face of a 28 year old), if he was going to cost us say £1million ,if he was on £10k a week then I'd agree he was worth a punt. As it is I doubt his value for money. Why are people so offended that someone else has a contrary opinion? It's not like anything said on his is going to alter the club's policies.
80footgiraffe Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 this is from an hour ago, west ham move is known by the writer. http://www.everton.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=244041
