Happy Fox Posted 10 June 2011 Author Posted 10 June 2011 According to stevostadium the Yak deal is off http://fansonline.net/leicestercity/mb/view.php?id=363603 Yak deal is OFF, dead and buried I have just been informed. Good, his performance at Reading last season was one of the worst I have seen in a Leicester shirt for sometime. Lazy show pony and when things arent going his way he isnt interested. Still worrying times ahead in my opinion. No new players and the ones he wants arent coming. I genuinely think the money is drying up, cos something is definately a miss down there at the minute.
Brown Fox Posted 10 June 2011 Posted 10 June 2011 11 goals in 20 games doesn't tell the whole story as 5 of them goals came in two games so 6 in 18 for a premiership striker has hardly set the world alight hence the mixed views. I don't doubt he has the ability, just some games he seemed as though he couldn't be bothered usually when the team was losing. Lets be positive though people seem to forget that we have only been back n the division for two years and sat bottom of the league for about 10 games at the beginning of the season. Some premiership pedigree is better that nothing and alot of fans in this division would be happy to have the Yak in there starting 11D What is with this stupidness where you take goals away from a striker. He scored 11 in 20 not 6 in 18 get your bloody head around it!

Really, this guy has the real info? He states the deal is off and then wildly speculates that we have NO money? Also on a side note he thinks Yak is a lazy show-pony. I am going to stick my neck out on this one and say he doesn't know what he is talking about...

StanSP Posted 10 June 2011 Posted 10 June 2011 If the players aren't coming, how is the money drying up? (Basically, I don't believe that BS).
Simo86 Posted 10 June 2011 Posted 10 June 2011 If the players aren't coming, how is the money drying up? (Basically, I don't believe that BS). Because some people are retards and jump to silly conclusions
lcfc matt Posted 10 June 2011 Posted 10 June 2011 How can one minute he is on his way and the next it ain't going to happen I don't know what to believe
Simo86 Posted 10 June 2011 Posted 10 June 2011 How can one minute he is on his way and the next it ain't going to happen I don't know what to believe They probably don't know anything and just like to mess with supporters minds
Liamlcfc1 Posted 10 June 2011 Posted 10 June 2011 They probably don't know anything and just like to mess with supporters minds maybe he is a Cov or Florist fan
marbelladave Posted 10 June 2011 Posted 10 June 2011 How can one minute he is on his way and the next it ain't going to happen I don't know what to believe As I said, the merging of the 'pro' and 'anti' threads have caused a rift in the continuum and the Yak has didapeared through it.
ithuriel Posted 10 June 2011 Posted 10 June 2011 He stopped off at a McDonalds for a BigMac and hasnt been seen since, i'm guessing he is looking for a club to pay the bill If he is being so unwavering over terms then i will not be bothered if he goes to Turkey etc.,
teblin Posted 10 June 2011 Posted 10 June 2011 Lets all stop worrying. One guy has said he thinks the money is drying up not that he knows it is. Sven may be able to pay the Yak the money he wants, but that would mean he may have to skimp somewhere elseand he doesn't want to do that.
Babylon Posted 10 June 2011 Posted 10 June 2011 Sven may be able to pay the Yak the money he wants, but that would mean he may have to skimp somewhere elseand he doesn't want to do that. Indeed, although if it's true about wages it's a bit annoying that it has taken so long to figure out we can't afford it. Seems silly to me, before we starting discussing prices with Everton we surely knew what his wages were.

Or have we agreed a fee with Everton but the hold up is that Yakubu is negotiating a pay-off from Everton to subsidise the wages he's going to earn at Leicester? That would seem the most likely. The lads on best part of £2 million a year, to take a big drop aged 28 when he's still got a lot to offer isn't going to be done lightly.

Something like that would tie in with what String ding-a-ling said. Fans online are awful. Most of them are.
hackneyfox Posted 10 June 2011 Posted 10 June 2011 Seems the most logical option. We needed 2 strikers anyway so this merc story about Nugent instead of Yakubu is hopefully bollocks. I wouldn't fancy Nugent and Kamara up front.
Tommy G Posted 10 June 2011 Posted 10 June 2011 Maybe the club is worried about the employers NI contributions they'll have to pay on 35k a week?? Just about to sit a tax exam by the way..
Liamlcfc1 Posted 10 June 2011 Posted 10 June 2011 Fourth_Official Fourth OfficialYakubu fee has been agreed with #LCFC, he wants to leave Everton, but is digging in his heels over personal terms, still expect him to sign.
Webbo Posted 10 June 2011 Posted 10 June 2011 If we don't sign him it'll be because a) He's had a better offer elsewhere. b) Sven doesn't think he'd be value for money. If he does sign then time will prove either the pro Yak or the Yak sceptics right. Someone can resurrect this thread in a year and say I told you so. Until then can people stop getting arsey just because someone disagrees with them?
80footgiraffe Posted 10 June 2011 Posted 10 June 2011 Sven is also now looking at Dave Nugent as Yakubu has high wage demands that Leicester may not decide to meet however most likely Leicester will find a compromise for both parties. Quote from Leicester Transfer Rumours. Everyone relax, he'll be here next season, he likes it here
Tom17LCFC Posted 10 June 2011 Posted 10 June 2011 I'd like to think that the whole Nugent scenario is just a ploy to get Yak to hurry up and sort it all out. As much as I trust Sven, i'd be disappointed if Nugent was to be our star striker next season.
