Callabinho Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 This will certainly test our metal! If West Ham will be a tough one for him to refuse, I am know worried we won't get him, come on lads pull your fingers out!
Happy Fox Posted 12 June 2011 Author Posted 12 June 2011 http://twitter.com/#!/Fourth_Official Fourth_Official Fourth Official West Ham could be prepared to offer Yakubu the personal demands that Leicester City won't #LCFC #WHU
dannythefox Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 I don't like the sound of this it could really mess things up lets just hope sven sorts it quick.
Corky Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 IanStringerBBC Ian Stringer Re Yakubu deal. West Ham coming in at the 11th hour would help wage negotiations wouldn't it? Leverage against both clubs. Call me cynical You've been called worse Ian. Mainly on this forum.
80footgiraffe Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 He'll sign for ud in the next few days cuz he wants to be here, not in scummy hammerz
Donut Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 And this is exactly what ive been talking about in other threads If the money is there get the bloody deal done and get him here pronto. If the money isnt there then for gods sake be honest You have to speculate to accumulate
Haydos Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 And this is exactly what ive been talking about in other threads If the money is there get the bloody deal done and get him here pronto. If the money isnt there then for gods sake be honest You have to speculate to accumulate There's a difference between money being there and for example, not being able to afford a 3m transfer fee and 40k a week wages.
sdb Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 He'll sign for ud in the next few days cuz he wants to be here, not in scummy hammerz cheers
Leicester_Loyal Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Ha, everyone that was saying don't pay him 35k ish a week, are now moaning because West Ham might just do that and we won't.
Donut Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 There's a difference between money being there and for example, not being able to afford a 3m transfer fee and 40k a week wages. And i thought the notion of the 'bottomless pit' was that if we needed to go slightly over budget to attract quality then the board would be happy to do so. Instead, how about we watch one of our closest promotion rivals walk away with what would be one of the leagues most prized assets. Fantastic plan
Donut Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 After all, theres no reason to worry is there, none of the other clubs are conducting transfer dealings are they? Oh wait, no actually they are, by negotiating deals to sign lethal goalscorers. So much for getting business done early
RyanB89 Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 40k a week is nothing thats 2m for a year plus 3m transfer fee makes 5m small price to pay for the best striker in the division
Donut Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 40k a week is nothing thats 2m for a year plus 3m transfer fee makes 5m small price to pay for the best striker in the division Absolutely correct IMO lets see the happy clappy blind faith brigade defend this one slipping through our fingers
Callabinho Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 I'm thinking the £10 odd million spent last season has maybe effected us more than we think..... I just hope we rise above west ham and offer him a good contract
Topman Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 , people says yak doesn't look 28, Rooney looks like he is in his 30's, arjen robben looks like he is about to retired and charlie Adams looks 50, ole gunnar solksjaer looks 5 still
stix Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 , people says yak doesn't look 28, Rooney looks like he is in his 30's, arjen robben looks like he is about to retired and charlie Adams looks 50, ole gunnar solksjaer looks 5 still Haha!!!
sdb Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 I want Yak here but we can't hand out big wages willy nilly. If West Ham are prepared to spend £40k a week on him then so be it. We can concentrate on Maynard and Kamara.
Kenners Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Absolutely correct IMO lets see the happy clappy blind faith brigade defend this one slipping through our fingers He hasn't signed for anyone yet, just wait and see what happens.
lcfc matt Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 He could be the best striker in the division we need yak more than any striker but I think we will lose out
trugerkem Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 id settle for maynard and yakubu cant see it happening tho
Kitchandro Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Regardless of what I think of Yakubu - IF we lose out on him to West Ham because we don't want to pay what he wants then that is a little worrying.
RyanB89 Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Regardless of what I think of Yakubu - IF we lose out on him to West Ham because we don't want to pay what he wants then that is a little worrying. It would be devastating
lcfc matt Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 I myself am worried and I'm not looking forward to the week ahead
