Mee Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 Oi period boy, I didn't act like a 'tool' I simply suggested that it was Bamba. Is that a crime? Ps. Like the name, very original. Tit. How does a boy have a period? I'm intrigued.
dannythefox Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 he was linked with Celtic first but it was a non-starter as the deadline had passed, teams knew we'd listen to offers, Jack Hobbs isn't anywhere near 1 of the best defenders in the league he is one of the best in the championship hes was great last season you dont loose class over night, we now have bruma vitor and mee and still let more goals in than ever! he would get in most teams in this league and i think anyone with sense would agree.
BlooArmeh! Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 How does a boy have a period? I'm intrigued. Tehee, he's a Righty grumpy bugger, I hear he's normally ok, so I suggested he was on his period, that would explain the mood swings...
The Doctor Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 This bitch-off between ItsTheJoeker & BlooArmeh! is mildly entertaining. I paticularly like the primary school put down: Oi period boy
hackneyfox Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 he is one of the best in the championship hes was great last season you dont loose class over night, we now have bruma vitor and mee and still let more goals in than ever! he would get in most teams in this league and i think anyone with sense would agree. I have no sense then, and neither does Sven it would seem.
Aidy3 Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 everybody saying he was crap last few games etc. everybody was, bar a few players on the occasional game. all you have to do is check the Man City games to see his class, form is only temporary. he could be quality for us!

But there is a flip side to the old "class is permanent form is temporary" arguement What if his form against Man City is temporary? Not that I'm saying he's a bad defender but even Junior Lewis had a couple of good games in a Leicester shirt The thing with Sol is I just get the feeling that we haven't seen the worst of him yet. And with the way he plays any mistake would cost us a game, you just got to hope that it isn't an important game (Kermorgant style)
Happy Fox Posted 19 May 2011 Author Posted 19 May 2011 http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/7585/7/aston-villa-fulham-and-everton-all-after-leicester-city-defender? Ivory Coast defender Souleymane Bamba is a target for a host of Premier League sides, according to French newspaper L'Sport. Aston Villa, Fulham and Everton are all keen on the Leicester City centre-back, however Ligue 1's Olympique Marseille are also in the hunt for the 26-year-old. And Marseille, along with Villa, appear to be the front-runners for Bamba's signature, with L'Sport writing that Gerard Houllier's side have submitted a bid of £2.6m while the French club have sent scouts to watch the former Paris Saint-Germain player in action. Bamba only moved to Sven Goran Eriksson's side in January from Scottish side Hibernian signing a deal until 2013, however he has previously stated he is flattered to have been linked with a switch to the Premier League.
hackneyfox Posted 19 May 2011 Posted 19 May 2011 2.6m for a player we paid 250k for, what a load of cock.
Nunny Fox Posted 19 May 2011 Posted 19 May 2011 Dont get me wrong i like big Sol, but if we are honest he is an accident waiting to happen, if reports are correct (2.6m) it would be a good bit of business.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 19 May 2011 Posted 19 May 2011 £2.6 million is a lot of money. I'd take it tbh. Lets see what Sven does though, if the reports are true.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 19 May 2011 Posted 19 May 2011 I'd Av him any day of the week mate! I reckon you're a girl, which is why keep mentioning "period.", or you could be a transsexual. The only masculine thing about you, is that you talk, bollocks. Anyway, you are very gullible, at best.

I reckon I could say the same about you, I reckon you try and sound hard because you feel like a minority and try and make up for it by calling yourself 'Dangerous tiger'. Anyway, I don't see why you're commenting, this has nothing to do with you, get a life...
Petchy Posted 19 May 2011 Posted 19 May 2011 There's nothing more pathetic than arguing over the internet. ---- Anyone fancy a 'swop' ? http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/495525567?-11208
ealingfox Posted 19 May 2011 Posted 19 May 2011 Anyone who offers two million plus should have their hand bitten off, as good as I think (or rather thought) Bamba is, I think we can get someone better with the same amount of money, put it towards buying Naughton or Vitor perhaps.
artursteppe Posted 19 May 2011 Posted 19 May 2011 This could all tell us more about our financial situation than many might think. If Sol Bamba could be sold for two or even three million ( reports suggest Villa have offered 2.6m and Marseille are very serious about wanting him so could offer more ), then if we don't sell him because we don't need the money, that would be a big message. Let's face it, if he is worth that now he'll probably be worth more next year. We might all have to get used to the idea that we are a club who can now deal in bigger markets with 'bigger' players. We're in a whole new different ball game!
Christoph Posted 19 May 2011 Posted 19 May 2011 Definitely sell him for 2.6 mill, he's good but he's replaceable.
hackneyfox Posted 19 May 2011 Posted 19 May 2011 Did he do enough last season, in the championship, to warrant bids of 1 million, let alone 2.5 million?
sdb Posted 19 May 2011 Posted 19 May 2011 2.6 is tempting, but people need to remember that he was decent for us and a lot better than most centre halves we had last season. tough call if this is true. i think i'd aim to push up the price a little through a bidding war.
AdamN Posted 19 May 2011 Posted 19 May 2011 I like Bamba but for £2.6m he's worth selling. Great bit of business by Sven if he does. However, I would only sell him on the condition that we could bring in at least a couple of decent centre halves before hand. Seeing as most of our defence consisted of loanees this season, it wouldn't be wise to start selling all of our contracted players, especially if Hobbs is meant to be on his way out too. Would love to see Mee and Vitor back, Tunchev given a chance to prove himself in pre-season, and perhaps another experienced head brought in too.
