Tommy G Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 Anything over £1m let him go. He is a potential disaster waiting to happen..
MikeyT Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 Anything over £1m let him go. He is a potential disaster waiting to happen.. I can't imagine we'd get anything near that for him though.
Houdini Logic Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 Still don't get this 'potential disaster' thing. Even if he messes up one in every ten games (which he hasn't!) then I'd take that one goal over the five that were probably scored from a 'hoof' defender giving it straight back to the opposition every time. Bamba and Tunch could be immense
ithuriel Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 Bamba is a pacey defender who with the right partner is a very good defender and is quite good at stealing the ball off of players and threatening at corners. Alongside Mee they we're very good but to often Mee was replaced by Bruma who is a liability at centrehalf but looks good in midfield.
I am Rod Hull Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 Cant believe some of you wany him out already.. O_o
paddy Agyemang Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 chatting shit you lot as id this is sol bamba not robbie neilson, Bamba is a decent traditionnal CB which has a lot of strength, has pace, aerial threat and reads the game quite well Bamba and Tunchev at the back, with Naughton and Stephen Warnock from villa
Jimmy Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 There was a reason Hibs let him leave for only £250k. Squad player at best next season, definitely no better than either Hobbs or Tunchev. yes his contract was up and would of walked for nothing
ozleicester Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 1 Million plus - then sell sell sell. Like the guy and he offers entertainment, but, i want promotion next year and i dont think he will be part of a league winning team, solid squad player good back up.
millzi Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 http://www.footmercato.net/ligue1/transferts/info-fm-souleymane-bamba-futur-roc-defensif-de-l-om_66408 Player Career atypical Souleymane Bamba had to wait for 26 years to talk to him. Trained to PSG, the Ivorian defensive rock was forced into exile in Scotland to become a professional footballer. Firstly, Dunfermline, Hibernian and then to where he was spotted last season by many European clubs. But if Fulham and Rennes were very interested this winter, at Leicester City Championship (L2 equivalent) that landed in January. But the old sapling of the capital club will put all the fans of English club in his pocket in a few weeks so much so that they will dedicate a song to his glory. So naturally, such benefits are beginning to generate interest in the Premier League. Indeed, Gary McAllister's assistant Gerard Houllier to Aston Villa would have fallen under the spell of the player. But the Villans were not alone on the record because the OM would also be seduced by the athleticism and the attitude of the Ivorian international impeccable. Reportedly, a recruiter Champion title in France was recently in the span of the Walkers Stadium to watch the performance Souleymane Bamba on the advice of the deputy Didier Deschamps, Guy Stephan who knows the player. But the case is not simple. Bought a pittance by the club coached by Sven Goran Erikson, Bamba has appreciated in value and its termination in June 2013 do not run the risk of arranging business leaders phocéens if they intend to take action . Highly rated in England and now France, Souleymane Bamba could not dwell in Leicester, especially as the club is badly in the race to climb. At age 26, former Paris should continue its ascent mad, now remains to know where. I was about to question your English ability, then I looked at the link and saw the article was in French, now I understand why them 3 paragraphs make barely any sense.

I used Google translate, and it somewhat fabricated the english translation <_<
80footgiraffe Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 SOL SOL BAMBA! Marseille can do one, sticking with the real blue army ta very much! SOL SOL BAMBA! Marseille can do one, sticking with the real blue army ta very much!
KingDarius Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 Ha cant believe some people want him gone already .. Divs
The People's Hero Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 TBF i think he is a brilliant squad player, he seems to always be so happy and is always hugging people, i think he brings a smile to everyones face which is good but i cant see us going up with him as first choice CB. If they offer around 2m+ then i think we should take it. Under 1m no thanks. 1-2m indifferent Hugging people - that's IT! More passion, more badge-kissing, more blood, sweat and tears and more bloody hugging. Yakubu, start hugging or get on yer bike.
Sparky Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 Anything over £1 million quid and ill drive him there myself.
MattyFromLE Posted 11 May 2011 Posted 11 May 2011 Fans love him, he's a bombscare - but i don't think we should sell up.
StanSP Posted 11 May 2011 Posted 11 May 2011 Hugging people - that's IT! More passion, more badge-kissing, more blood, sweat and tears and more bloody hugging. Yakubu, start hugging or get on yer bike. He was the horse that Gally rode as part of his celebration. No innuendo, honestly. You see Gally making a 'whip' gesture. Again, no innuendo .
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 May 2011 Posted 11 May 2011 For what we paid, I don't think he's been a bad piece of business. Remember myself and Finnegan (both Hibs bummers) saying when he signed that he can be 'eccentric' at the best of times and weren't overwhelmed when he made the move, but he's been better than I expected. Seems to have started off brightly and just tailed off a bit. I don't think he's a starter, but a very useful squad player to have, however, as has been said, £1 million plus would be ludicrous money.
Wymsey Posted 11 May 2011 Posted 11 May 2011 Daily Mail claim Aston Villa, Birmingham and Everton want him as cover up.
Lesta Legend Posted 11 May 2011 Posted 11 May 2011 There was a reason Hibs let him leave for only £250k. Squad player at best next season, definitely no better than either Hobbs or Tunchev. Contract running down, deffo better than hoof out hobbs.
city4lyf Posted 11 May 2011 Posted 11 May 2011 dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1385699/Aston-Villa-Birmingham-Everton-way-fight-Sol-Bamba.html Aston Villa, Birmingham and Everton are monitoring Leicester defender Sol Bamba , 26. The 6 ft 3 in Ivory Coast centre half is wanted as cover by the Premier League trio .
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 13 May 2011 Posted 13 May 2011 Bamba Flattered by Links to Prem If Everton want him then £1m + Bamba for The Yak would be an amazing bit of business. He is more than replaceable where as the Yak with his goal record would be much harder to replace from the team.
dannythefox Posted 13 May 2011 Posted 13 May 2011 Contract running down, deffo better than hoof out hobbs. Think you'll find hoof out hobbs is one of the best defenders in the league!
cc_star Posted 13 May 2011 Posted 13 May 2011 No great loss, he's comfortable on the ball but same as everyone else, can't defend for shit
Jimmy Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 Think you'll find hoof out hobbs is one of the best defenders in the league! which would be why every other championship side went for him when Sven said he could go out on loan then ... oh hang on only Hull wanted him, and he didn't play every game for them either
thorpefox Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 let him go, cult hero and scored some useful goals but always unsure about him. would rather see tunchev, mee or vitor at the back if we can get them
