broughtonblue Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Don't really know where this came from, but I reckon the result will be 3-1 to man u. And I'm not even pissed! Your predictions....
Ashley Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Barcelona to win 3-2 in AET. Villa, Messi and Xavi. Rooney and Park All to score
Guest Bilo Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 What's the betting giggs gets the winner? Just Imogen if he did. I'm going for a fairly straightforward win for Barcelona myself. It won't be a battering and Man United will put up a fight but I get the sense that Barca are just a shade too good. 2-0 again with goals coming from Messi and Iniesta.
Number 6 Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Looking at how they teams have changed since 2009 I would say Barca have improved, and Man U taken a step back. Therefore have to go for Barca. Class above.

Filbert_Ross Posted 24 May 2011 Posted 24 May 2011 Paddypower will refund all losing first/last goalscorer bets, all correct score bets and all scorecast bets if Barca win in 90 minutes. (up to £100)

MC Prussian Posted 24 May 2011 Posted 24 May 2011 What's the betting giggs gets the winner? He was not in training with the squad today, so I guess that's a no-brainer.

Bert Posted 24 May 2011 Posted 24 May 2011 Can I ask why? To get people to bet with them, added to the fact Barcelona aren't guaranteed to win in 90 minutes. Punters are happy because it could work out as free betting and Paddy Power get people either betting more or opening new accounts with them.

BlueSi13 Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Don't think any neutral truly expects anything different to the final two years ago. If anything Barcelona are stronger and Manchester United are much weaker (they won the Premier League thanks to Chelsea capitulation after the Ray Wilkins affair IMO, along with other teams around them being far too inconsistent). Very comfortable Barcelona win, 2-0, 3-0 or maybe even 4/5 if Barcelona score early. Really don't think Manchester United play in a way that could disrupt their opponents.
StanSP Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Barca will never score 4 or 5 against that Man Utd defence, despite my similar thoughts that United are weaker. Man Utd are disciplined enough not to concede that many. I don't think they're THAT much worse off though. I think 2-1 or 3-1 to Barca. Messi, Xavi and Pedro; Rooney getting Utd's.

Ferguson is highly experienced and I think Barca will be very cautious about being hit on the break. Can see Utd scoring but I think it'll finish 2-1 Barca, tight scoreline but fairly comfortable.
ScouseFox Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Sven'll be there, and he's sitting on the fence, saying it's too difficult to choose. Reckon United might take it. No idea why, just think everyone's saying Barca will, but United will shock them. 2-0, Park and Chicharito.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Really, really hope Manyoo take this. If they attack Barcelona and their 'make shift' back line, they've every chance, too. If they set up like Real, they'll not win. Vidic is poor at dealing at fast dribblers running at him though (in my opinion), the likes of Messi, Villa and Pedro could give him nightmares It's too close to call for me, really.
Turtles Head Posted 27 May 2011 Posted 27 May 2011 3-0 to Barcelona. United haven't looked at their best for the majority of this season. Against the best team in the world...not a chance.
VinceNoir Posted 27 May 2011 Posted 27 May 2011 The key for United is patience. They have to accept that possesion will be about 65/35 in barca's favour. Barcelona will bring men forward and attack, so United will have to hit them on the break, and with players like Park, Valencia, Nani, Hernandez and Rooney, they have a chance of doing that. It worked for Arsenal.
