Lloyd Dyer

Lloyd is a good winger but is definitely a confidence player, he needs 3 or 4 games on the bounce to get the best out of him,....he's a better player than a lot of people on here give him credit for and considering people are always banging on about passion that's something he's never lacked either.

He had 2 good games against man city and is certainly good enough for the championship let alone league 1..... if he does leave I wish him well

Dont rule out Max Gradel.

they want £8m for Snodgras and would probably want something similar for Max

Remember his lob against 'uddersfield in L1 .. Ohh Lloyd

He'll do well at L1 for the Owls if you get him

That was never a lob, he miss hit it and it spooned over the keeper!

Seemingly yes. Two of them (Rob Jones and David Prutton) have already signed. It does seem a very odd way of doing things. I would prefer silence and only to announce things when they were done and dusted. Did he do this at Leicester?

Milan wants Neil Mellor back, Jason Scotland, Danny Green, Michael McIndoe, Jason Koumas, Jose Semedo, Julian Bennett, and Danny Baath back on loan. How many of these signings we will get I don't know. I would be pleased with half of them.

You've no chance of getting Scotland or Koumas IMO. Neil Mellor, as he was on loan last season, is a good player IMO and I think he could have been one of the reasons Preston went down - never understood why they shipped him out on loan.

Anyway as for Dyer, he was good in League One and started brightly last year, but he is also a very frustrating player - especially with regards to his missed goal attempts - mostly 1on1s !

With him being nearly 29, you'd think he's not going to improve much now, and he'll be nothing more than an impact sub here tbh.

He can get into decent positions with his pace running down the wing, but unfortunately doesn't have an end product at all- cannot cross or shoot to save his life imo.

Most top-half Championship defenders will be able to read his dribbling too. Very one-footed, and the only way he really takes on players is the hit-and-run past defenders, so any half-decent fullback will know this and can counter it imo.

Best of luck to him anyway, got a good attitude and gives his all in games imo so credit to him for that, but just not good enough for us now unfortunately.

To me Lloyd Dyer always seemed to start well in the beginning when the pitches were nice , he would lose it during the winter then re-emerge around April

One game he'll be a world beater and the next he'll vanish into thin air.

In League 1 he was a sensation mind, perfect league for him.

Morrison is pretty much bottom of the pecking order. In the games he played last season he looked way out of his depth even in League 1. He was awful and I think Megson is already looking to move him on.

10-15 goals I like the sound of. How long has he got left on his contract?

Morrison last season was certainly a candidate for worst player. Awful pretty much every time he played.

in case you haven't heard already... this is a shock for most City fans. he was a regular in the champ under Pearson and by all accounts had a very good season.

He's hot and he's cold!

He's yes then he's no!

He's in then he's out! etc

Is this not the very nature of wingers? Well those that don't cost MILLIONS, anyway.

I think he's really good, and I'd probably have played him more last season if I'd been in charge, but I wasn't and aren't likely to be any time soon, so you can all relax

I can only assume that we have a replacement winger in the bag, or a couple of options lined up.

That's what's being assumed on the jack Hobbs thread too.. Sven must have replacements lined up. With Lloyd Dyer I think it's even more important that someone else is coming in because, as I've said before, Lloyd is the only player with any real pace at present

I've always been a big fan of Dyer and I'm disappointed by the lack of games he was given last season. He has the ability to tear defences apart and showed a great example of this against Man City, arguably one of the best teams in the country. People keep saying he plays great one game and then disappers the next but what player doesn't have the tendency to do this (in our team King,Wellens, Yak, Abe and in others Rooney, Berbatov, Torres, Drogba the list is endless)? I agree that his final ball can sometimes be lacking but a winger who can score goals is a commodity we should keep hold of.

Shocked to see the level of criticism from some people on here and even more suprised if he left us especially to a league 1 side.

If it were only 1 game there would not be as much frustration with him. The problem is the dip in form can and usually does last for months.

Lloyd was very good last season he is a very good player, and I would still start him if I was Sven but im not and I can only see him departing now real shame though.

poor lloyd.

harshly treated last season. made an impact when he came on as sub but then was more often than not an unused sub. strange

I disagree. In fact I think the majority of the times he came on for the last 15 minutes he only touched the ball 2 or 3 times.

i've always been torn over dyer, is clearly talented and has abiity, yet so often the end product isn't good enough (be it a cross or shot). i think it is time for him to move on, but would wish him all the best.

Id be dissapointed to lose dyer. He,s a good player to use as an impact sub in say the last 15-20 mins to run at defenders when they,re becoming tired. Afterall its a squad game and he,s another option and a good one to have.
