The hype around AJ is unreal. Before the fight 10 current and former boxers were asked who would win, and they all said AJ. 86% of people said AJ would win. Just like in football, the experts know fuch all, especially that idiot Tony Bellew. Even after AJ got KOed and was floored 5 times, Bellew still insisted that AJ was the faster boxer who just had a bad day.

I always find the intense dislike of Anthony Joshua a bit weird. I'm not a big fan of his and granted i don't pay too much attention to whatever he's doing to bring this dislike of him on, but it does seem a bit OTT from the outside looking in.

He can’t fight, just a fraud so it is fairly easy to see how people criticise him… he might do well in a less technical sport like MMA but boxing he has no chin and can’t compete

Class from Dubois, was shocked the bookies has it so wide in the odds.

I'd probably go Zhang v Parker. Dubois v winner of Usyk v Fury. Then the winner of those two fighting each other.

 

Interested to see if Itauma keeps bowling over opponents as he shifts up the levels now. With Dubois only being 27, in 3/4 years time we could be seeing a hell of a world title fight between those 2.

 

Annoyingly missed the first 3 fights due to a power cut, got it on just in time for Hutchinson v Buatsi. Solid enough scrap from Hutchinson but Buatsi just had that bit of extra power that gave him the edge.

As soon as the fight began , AJs arms are down, by his chest,  I'm thinking you're going to get knocked out quickly with that stance. Defend yourself at all times, the basic first fundamental of boxing.

I think he should retire, he's washed up, unless he wants to be David Price II.

On another point, what the F was the Saudi National anthem about, I guesswe better get used to it because I presume it's now going to be shoved in our faces at Snooker, Darts and the tiddlywinks final !!

Joshua has no technical ability, doesn’t push off the foot with the jab, it is like a slap… so any decent fighter can expose that and just go all out because Joshua can’t hurt you

As much as I don't like or rate him I can't agree with that. He's hurt plenty of fighters. It's his technical ability and nous that massively lets him down.

As seen last night he's also very susceptible to anyone with a good jab

What fighters? The only guys that can actually box he gets outclassed, trust me if Joshua was around in the 80’s/90’s he would be nowhere

I'm not saying he would,I literally said i think he's bang average but punch power isn't his weakness, it's everything else

Of course he couldn't. Not many could. You're not exactly going against the majority of people's thoughts. 

Lewis was a great champion.

How would AJ now rate against Frank Bruno ? 

Until fairly recently I'd imagine Joshua was ahead.......l guess Big Frank is now seen as the better of the 2.

 

They both had/have similar builds, stamina, jab & power, but also lack ring IQ.
