I think it’s probably the former, if it genuinely was the latter he made the fight impossible to get a trilogy on the basis of the fight.

I think the toll of the weight Eubank had to lose played a massive part in it this time. Benn learnt from the first fight too.

Reading endless bollocks about 'respect' and 'class'. 

 

Eubank got beaten up by a better fighter on the night. 

 

Weird match up with weird rules but the fight was clearly won by Benn. 

 

There's no esteem or gravitas here, really, beyond the fact that Benn beat up Eubank.

Let's be honest here that match up should never have been made and was only for the names of their dads.

Farcical, boxing's a right mess if people are w@nking off to this circus.

Tbh I think it is a bit of a mess. 

 

There's one good heavyweight. Will be interesting to see if Itauma can step up but tbh I think Usyk would be a great in any era and there's nobody to even get halfway to him in this one. And that's the blue riband event. 

 

Crawford Vs Canelo should have been a great fight but ended up very one sided. 

 

Not much else to get excited about.

Not sure if anyone saw the post fight interviews, but Eubanks promoter started to talk about what Chris had to go through to get into the ring.. as he was leaving, Chris  stopped him and said he didn’t want it discussed in public. Earlier in the interview, Chris himself talked about how he had been through hell and back the last few weeks..

 

 

i do think he had a health concern we are not being told about.  He almost got knocked spark out. Perhaps would have been if there was another 30 seconds. You don’t take that kind of risk just to try and get a trilogy..
