It’s a joke fight but I can’t believe what I’m reading online about his fight against Mike Tyson.

Tyson got KO’d by Danny Williams 20 years before his fight with Jake Paul. He didn’t go easy on Jake Paul ffs, he’s nearly 60 lol

Haha yep.

It was rigged, but not in the way most people claim that Tyson was holding back. It was rigged because he was fighting a nearly 60 year old man that could barely move lol

By the end of that fight, Paul could genuinely have gone to town on him at any moment he wanted, but it seems like he showed some humility that I didn't think he had.

Anyway....is anyone planning to watch Saturday's card? lol

It’s a joke and a circus and all that but I don’t really mind it. AJ has been finished for years, he’s done what he’s going to do the only thing left would be a potential clash with fury with both pretty much retire as proper competitors now. With this he gets a huge bag with none of the risk of brain injury. Be interesting how Paul does though

This is another factor I don't rightly get. If Paul does okay it will be dismissed as a farce.

If he gets knocked out then he's positioned as an idiot with an audience again.

If he's really serious about being a boxer why isn't he handing out fights at the bottom of the division and earning his ranking. He could do good for needy fighters too - exposure and finance.

It just seems a lose lose for all concerned outside of the obvious financial benefits.

Problem is, he is a draw and beyond that really. What his genuine intentions are I’m not really sure, he clearly has a passion for the sport. He does a lot of the women’s boxing scene as well which he probably doesn’t get enough credit for

with the Netflix deal as well I think it probably makes it a lot harder for him to do fights similar to Tommy fury now, hadn’t he got canelo to sign a contract before management pull him as well?

i mean, it’s the obvious financial benefits, isn’t it?  He’s getting around $80m for the fight. He wouldn’t ever have to lift a finger again after the fight if he didn’t want to..

the thing that annoys me are the mugs that are buying into all the hype. If his ‘fans’ and the media just left him alone, he’d disappear from our screens..

Thought the commentary was a tad biased to Mason on DAZN but I was impressed with him. Easily the best fight of the night. The cut from the clash of heads did Noakes no favours

Yarde's tactic of sitting on the ropes and letting Benevidez use his head as a punching bag was an interesting one lol

Thought Norman Jr beat Haney, but I do bias towards boxers that throw punches haha.

Bams KO was very nice, took longer than I expected but the South Americans are usually hard to get out

Yeah, one of the commentators for  Mason gave him all but 2 rounds lol but was definitely an enjoyable fight. Although outclassed,  I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Noakes.

I knew the BBC had the coverage tonight because they've been plugging it for a few months.

Didn't realise it was in Derby, I've not seen any promotion in Leicestershire which is a shame because I might have gone along.

Don't think I've seen someone out on their feet and looking confused as Clarke towards the end of that fight.

Real bravery, I thought his corner should have called it quits before the last round because he wasn't responding to their comments.

He'll be paid handsomely to take it to 5/6 rounds I'd of thought.

Money will buy you owt in boxing.

That said, if Paul couldn't buy a win off Tommy Fury, there's no way AJ and Hearn are agreeing to sell out whatever is left of AJ's legacy.

Hearn has already laid the groundwork for the fight going a few rounds, suggesting AJ will be patient, suss him out a bit and if Jake plays defensive then it might not start explosive.

That's pretty much all Paul needs isn't it? If he can make it to halfway through a fight with AJ that'll be a fairly big boast for him.

AJ at the age Paul is now would have killed him in the first two punches.

The AJ & Jake Paul fight is more of a wrestling model than anything.

The amount of money involved, there's absolutely no way its a transparent / unscripted fight.

Might as well be retirement for AJ stopping this low - Tyson Fury must be chuckling to himself.

Fury would 1000000% do this if he had a few million waved at him

I don't think Jake Paul is in this to buy wins. I think he's pretty serious about wanting to be a respected boxer.

His money has bought him the opportunity. Unfortunately for him AJ will (should) take his head off.

The only way AJ's reputation survives tonight is with a very serious knockout. The Paul brothers are massive in America so a lot of people will be watching and expecting AJ to win fast, comfortably and aggressively.

If somehow AJ loses this or doesn't KO JP out in a couple of rounds in my eyes, and hopefully alot of others too,  everything he has achieved in Boxing means jack sh1t.

He will be an total embarrassment to Boxing and should never return to the UK.

Im actually serious too for a change.
