I know he might have been the missing link and I could be wrong completely in thinking that he was valued too highly, but there's other strikers out there far cheaper who can do just as good a job, we just need to find them. Sven will get a striker when he wants one, if he thinks we desperately needs one.

He could be someone who will cost more or less than both Maynard and Long or who could be someone who is about to arrive on loan. Maybe he is tall or possibly even short ( not Craig Short or maybe ), who could be fast or average. What is however certain is that if we do get someone as I have described above, some people may or may not like him and some people may not or may even like him. We will see!

Sloanfox Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 if anyone has the read the back of the 'Football League News paper' then you will have seen that Maynard will not hand in a transfer request but has not ruled out a move, basically saying if the club accept an offer then he's prepared to talk, i really think city should just slap £5m on the table plus a bonus incentive if we go up, and you'll have yourself a proven goal scorer at probably £2-3m less than Long.
