Happy Fox Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Simon Cox as compensation to us for this I reckon. I would like Peter Odimiwingie
Leicester_Loyal Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 7M is a hell of a lot of money for someone only just proven in the Championship, nevermind Premiership.
Ian pcp Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 There is a 3 million striker that I think may get us at least 15 to 20 goals this season he has sort of proven in this league that he can do the business. His name is Mr Waghorn!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr The Singh Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Does Martin have a brother then? Yes, his name is Dr the SIngh Waghorn!! PS - Waghorn is not what Sven wants!!!
bald reynard Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Simon Cox as compensation to us for this I reckon. Cox is likely to be playing WITH Long at West Brom. He's scored a hatful of goals in pre-season friendlies for the Baggies and Hodgson has normally picked him as first choice striker for the most of the games he's been in charge. The Reading paper has also reported that, "when" Long signs for West Brom, he's going to be part of their first choice forward line, "with ex-Reading striker Simon Cox".
Mr.Lowe Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Fourth_Official Fourth Official Don't think West Brom's incoming bid for Long is of the same value of Leicester's one which is still on the table, but he does want Prem Would be a real shame if we didn't get him, think Nicky Maynard will be top of list AGAIN now!

I've heard it all.
Happy Fox Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Fourth_Official Fourth Official Look's like Reading have accepted a £6m bid from West Brom for Shane Long, Leicester's bid was more! #WBA
Happy Fox Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Have a word with yourself mate, he lacks ambition because he wants Premier League football? I've heard it all. I am sorry just a bit pissed off we didn't get him
Libertine Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 How dare he turn down the almighty Leicester City. Gosh.

Callabinho Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 I did say the other day as stupid as it sounds, reading will accept a smaller fee if Long was offered premier league football, we now have to compete with southampton and west ham for Maynard.
Happy Fox Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Wow, did that just get said? I am just pissed off we didn't get him, sour grapes in all, appologies
Fox 4 Life Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 I would go all in for cox, he would be the perfect compliment to nugent
One Arm Babba Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 West Brom are alright. Woy Hodgson is a good manager and I can see them making progress. Its a good move for Shane Long, you can't begrudge him that. he'd play regularly and probably do very well.
MPH Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 I would go all in for cox, he would be the perfect compliment to nugent whatever floats your boat! EDIT: sorry not very mature of me i know

Clazie Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Disgusting, he should be coming to us because we'll be in the champions league in 2 years, and we'll be able to pay him 2000000000000000000000 pounds a week. Moving to a premiership club over a championship powerhouse? Serious lack of ambition.
mancunianfox Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 It would make more sense for Reading to sell to WBA then to us even if the bid was slightly less.
