Happy Fox Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Mel Henderson's not known for his accuracy - he's previously written that Wayne Routledge would be joining us, and that Heskey would definitely be coming back. Eventually next season
Andy Hargreaves Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Omg i would cream if grant holt came to leicester :w00t:
AoWW Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Omg i would cream if grant holt came to leicester :w00t: I'd love to walk into my local smirking and singing Leicester songs if it happened... ...but it won't.
HoustonFox Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Big striker with a good touch to fire us to promotion? Yann Kermorgant.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 My fave player outside of LCFC. Please happen.
Tielemans63 Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Seems like it's a load bull shizzle but it's not impossible. I remember us selling the mighty Iwan Roberts to Wolves after we won promotion and I'm sure he'd scored 15-20 goals in the season just gone. That was private right decision too as we got £1mill and the big Welshman prib wasn't good enough for the Prem at the time. Lovely bloke though Big Iwan, top fella!
Happy Fox Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Who knows maybe Sven has made an enquiry, and Norwich are mulling it over, not beyond the realms of possibility but if we did bag Holt and Long it would be brilliant
woznotwos Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Not sure about this one, I would need to see a youtube video before making my mind up.
Tielemans63 Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 MPH - Holt has never played for City. He has played for Pubic Forest though. And in other news he was born on the same day as me - we should sign him just on that basis.
Marmite Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Unless he brings Hoolahan with him,he can fook off!! :crylaugh:
Andy Hargreaves Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 imagine the front lin holt nugent and if we get long **** me sideways weve won this league then :scarf:
bluesbrothers Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Stranger things have happened, folks. The whole rumour mill all over the web seems to be going crazy over it, maybe, just maybe. And for the record, yes, he's the same mould as Howard, who's looked great pre-season. But face it, the man doesnt have the legs for week in week out football. If Holt comes, the two can share the role that has made us look most dangerous for a while. Excited now. And hell, for that price we can get Tae-Se too, and it'd still be cheaper than Long or Maynard!
Happy Fox Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 If this is a like for like replacement for Steve Howard then I will be chuffed

irDeano Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 NorwichCityFC Norwich City FC David McNally - Absolutely no truth in Daily Mail story saying we've accepted bid for Grant Holt from Leicester. Our captain's not for sale.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 http://www.eatsleepsport.com/norwich-city/holt-heading-for-carrow-road-exit-1252483.html#.TjrHY6jNuM8 Norwich City are willing to sell captain, and last season's top scorer, Grant Holt to Championship favourites Leicester City. According to a report in the Daily Mail, the Canaries have agreed a fee of £2million for the 30-year-old with a Championship club, believed to be big-spenders Leicester. Former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson looks to have moved for the former Rochdale, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday player after missing out on Reading's Republic of Ireland international Shane Long. A decision on whether he makes the move to the East Midlands now rests with the player himself, who only signed a new three-year deal at Carrow Road in April. However, it does look like Norwich manager Paul Lambert is willing to cash in on the player who he signed from Shrewsbury for just £400,000 two years ago. The proposed move is bound to upset supporters eagerly looking forward to their first season back in the top flight - Holt has been named their player of the season for the last two years and he scored 53 goals in just 92 appearances for the club. And if he does leave, the Canaries just have nine days to bring in a replacement before the start of the Premier League.
