ScouseFox Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 United are just better than everyone else, by miles. Simple.
Jimothy Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 Shocking penalty decision by Dowd! Shocking penalty by Roooney!
FoxyPV Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 This is some game. Man Utd look awesome every time they go forward.
Jimothy Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 How can Dowd book Cole for his challenge on Hernandez, but not give a penalty?
Matt Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 How can Dowd book Cole for his challenge on Hernandez, but not give a penalty? He's a ref, He makes his own rules.
VinceNoir Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 Oh dear Torres. Even Bernie could've tucked that away.
Fox92 Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 Torres had a good game in my opinion. That miss is going to overshadow his sensational goal.
lcfcadam Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 BBC live text guy said it's the worst miss he's ever seen - given all the context I'm inclined to agree...

Guest shearfox Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 BBC live text guy said it's the worst miss he's ever seen - given all the context I'm inclined to agree... It's certainly the worst I have ever seen, he had time, wasn't under any pressure and had the whole goal to shoot at from a few yards out.

I'm not condoning Torres though, it was dreadful. Was on his weaker foot and got his body shape all wrong, but it's inexcusable

somebum Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 Chelsea are a pale shadow of their former glory. The squad has aged immensely with players such as Terry, Lampard, Drogba (although not playing today) and Cech. Man Utd have been able to inject youth progressively thanks to stable management but every new Chelsea boss finds themselves in a position where the squad needs overhauling but the chairman wants instant success. Terry is becoming a Carragher type; too slow so has just developed into a bully, shoving people around. Lamps has just gone now. Drogba relied on his strength and speed but both have eluded him and Cech has never been the same since his head injury. The new characters such as Ramires just dont seem to be in that world class mould. Remember the great Mourinho side with Robben? What a side that was.
ajthefox Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 I agree with what you've said for the most part but to be fair I think 3-1 is flattering of United somewhat and today hasn't changed anything. Chelsea played well for long spells of the game and had it not been for a few bits of good fortune it could've been a very different story.

Chelsea played well for long spells of the game and had it not been for a few bits of good fortune it could've been a very different story. Indeed. United's defence and midfield were woeful at times. However they did have half their first-choice outfield missing (Rafael, Vidic, Ferdinand, Cleverley and Welbeck) Cole should have walked for his challenge on Hernandez - he was lucky he didn't break his leg. But the ref couldn't give a penalty because the ball was out of play.
ScouseFox Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 Stoke are just a replica of us under O'Neill, but they're cvnts. Hope it ends for them how it did for us.
Toffee_Fox Posted 19 September 2011 Posted 19 September 2011 Everton leapfrog The Gobshites without even playing, brilliant, roll on the derby in two weeks time!
