Maybe Keith Millen is just using Nicky Maynard to make us turn in on each other. Divide and Rule. First he get the little cvnt to score 2 goals against us now this...(NB if Nick Maynard signs for us don't tell him I was rude about him.)

Phil Philpott. He's an optimist. His pot is never half full. It's twice full. And that doesn't even make sense. Maybe he has two pots. No s on the end of the surname though. It's a poser and a quandry, I'll give you that.

Don't upset the man further please, we've lost one good man today, let's not make it two.

I don't know what everyone's problem is, I've been supplying top quality information since 19:08 today.

Anyway, I said I wasn't going to post any more, at least not until I'm desperate for the attention. In the meantime I will try and gather a legion of twitter followers.

we will not get maynard he doesnt want to come to lcfc

Nothing is cut and dry - he probably isn' t 100% decided. As BCFC haven't accepted a bid yet we don't know

He wants a premier club but not many premier clubs will pay £6m for a championship player.

The Prem clubs potentially interested may result in him being relegated at the end of the season but at least he gets a chance to prove his worth in the prem to get another prem club interested i.e like Campbell if his club does get relegated.

Hence

option1 - go to a prem club

If no prem club comes knocking on the door he has a decision to make

Option 2 - Go to a Championship club for a big fee to try to get promoted - big pay rise immediately but if he doesn't get promotion he is in the same position as even if he negotiates a clause allowing him to go to a prem club, it will have to be a clause enabling the club that buys him now to get their money back meaning next summer he'll be in the same boat!! Price tag holding him back

Option 3 - . Stay at BCFC without signing a contract meaning he'll likely be snapped up in summer 2012 by a prem club for a free with little to lose - aka Everton with Beckford. BCFC will not want this but realistically they can't force sell him as he is under contract - they could bench him but that's unlikely. However - no pay rise for a year and if he gets injured ... well this option carries risk and he'll feel pretty unpopular.

Option 4. Sign a new contract with BCFC - more money immediately - secure future but not an option he'll take unless he has a serious love for BCFC - nah he would have signed by now.

i.e He'll choose option 1 if the opportunity arises. If this option doesn't materialise - tough decision between option 2 and 3. If it were me (I wish) I'd choose option 3 and take out hefty injury insurance pulling out of dodgy tackles aka Gally. however he might be tempted by the 'Range Rover with dodgy spinning trims and general WAG appeal straight the way in which case he may choose option 2!

My guess - he'll go with option 2 and that will probably be us but not until close to 31st August when he satisfied option 1 isn't going to happen. get real chaps - if he comes to us - we will be his 21st choice.

If we're waiting for Nicky Maynard to decide then I think we should sit on this, wait till deadline day and be prepared to pull out. Bristol City have no option but to sell him and they would most likely accept a lower offer of 5 million. I think we should only pay 6.5 million for him if he signs right now.

actually although he may end up here he probably resents us as our constant bidding has driven his price up, pricing out some prem clubs. Probably why the bugger went all out to score against us!!!!

NB his agent will have a pretty good idea if a prem club is likely to bid and if not will push him towards option 2 as his agent will get an instant bank balance boost also

Doncaster v Bristol City, 15:00

It will be interesting to see if Maynard is in the team for Saturdays game.

If he plays he is clearly not signing for us on Monday.

Here goes.

Sven is DESPERATE for Maynard. Andrew Neville rang Bristol City and basically said "Tell us what your demands are". We are going all out, shit or bust on this one now. I'm yet to hear whether a bid has actually gone in, but there is no chance of it happening before the Southampton game.

Maynard has not even had a medical here, so he can't have failed it, and if it does come to him having a medical he won't fail it. As you all already know, the bid is going to be in the region of £6-6.5m, with add ons.

I know I said I wouldn't post in here again, but there's some decent people on here and I'm feeling kind.

Thanks for the info Bert, well appreciated.

sounds to me that a bid has already gone in, be great if he had a medical tomorrow and signed!

Cheers Bert

Are we seeking just the one striker then, or is the possibility of a 'key big fee striker' plus loan action?

Thanks for the info Bert, nice to know where we are at with this one

The reason the thread hasn't been locked is because, when we do, we get just as many people complaining that it's been locked, that we're overly officious, that it's violating their human rights and freedom of speech, blah blah.

If you don't want to read it, then don't. It's really very, very simple.

Has Maynard handed in a transfer request or something?

no... But we but we have stepped up our interest... things looking good ...
