Legend_in_blue Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 There's nothing on the OTIB. They're so behind with the times over there.
Lisburn Fox Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 More chance of the Johnson thing happening now I think, I would of preferred Maynard but its not gonna happen, but I don't think Johnson is the answer either!! bit of a quandary we find ourselves in.

Have you read any of the recent posts, like the ones from Bert say a bid for Maynard has gone in? The most annoying thing on this forum is the amount of doom and gloom merchants who react to every transfer rumour with "I doubt" "I'd love it but I can't see it happening" with no reason or source as to why they don't think it will happen.
Fox1651 Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 The bid HAS been submitted. A response is expected tomorrow. Off to sleep now, will do my best to keep you updated tomorrow. Cheers Bert
JmorsonLCFC Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 I think that's what bothers me more. thanks berty poo
Dan Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 I can't see a problem, with that response I made. So, you also must agree, that this is the biggest issue in our club's history Something tells me that is not the case. If it is, then we really must be a pathetic club, and I know we are not. I had no idea my posts were pretty normal, when I had my health problems. That would have worried me if I had known it then. The biggest transfer saga, you moron.
Ashley Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Since the death of my mother and starting my new job, its not really been a priority. Sorry for the passing of your mother.
Rich Fox Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Since the death of my mother and starting my new job, its not really been a priority. Sorry to hear about your mother.
thybluefox Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Fanhouse Percy on twitter saying Maynard wants to stay at bc after record bid submitted. Johnson and gradal on radar. He's supposed to be fairly reliable. Again, how would people knuw this 100% when we've not had a bid accepted? We won't have spoken to him so won't have offered him terms? And I still also think we wouldn't have chased him this long without some assurance he'd want to come here. That is unless we've just been played big time by his agent.
lestajigs Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 I'll piss myself if he stays then goes for free next season, can't see Bristol chairman keeping him if he dosnt sign a contract
Happy Fox Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 If we are able to get Gradel and Johnson then that would more than compensate not getting Maynard, we will just have to wait and see I guess
Ross_Spencer Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 @StringerSport Ian Stringer I think Nicky Maynard will join #lcfc tomorrow for a fee of over £5m, could be wrong - saga
Simo86 Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 I heard that a bid went in last night that matched Bristol's valuation, all down to Maynard if its true!
levein Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Can't see Maynard comming if the reports are to believed, I think he been dragging his heel this time instead of Bristol city. Well we will find out one way or the other by tommorrow.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 The biggest transfer saga, you moron. Really? I suggest you read it again. He stated "saga", and not transfer saga. You are making an assumption whilst, he made a statement, Your ignorance of the English language has been exposed. lol
MikeyT Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 If rumours of a 6 million bid going in are true, then they have to be complete numpties not to accept. A player now, with less than a year left on his contract that will walk away for free! Ok, you could say that doesn't leave them much time to find a decent replacement by tomorrow night, but surely they will have a list of players they want too. 6 Million is alot of money and they would be able to spread that around on a few players.
Finnegan Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Stringer thinks it will happen? Then it certainly won't. Pack it up, we're going home. Nothing to see here.

Bristol told us to meet their asking price, which we have! If we dont sign him, I would laugh if he walked away for free next summer!
Babylon Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 we could of got Diego Forlan for that price! What a 32 year old on £70-£100k a week? Yeah, we could have got him all right.
