Anyone whothinks signing this child will solve every problem we have ever had is delusional. he is very good pal, and would go some way in helping our lack of fire power atm!

In a minute someone will post that £6m is a lot for an injury prone striker, then someone will post his medical history (skiing trip etc) then someone will say beck ford is better then someone will getnthe stats out, then we get someone from Bristol on then we tell them to f off and repeat and repeat and repeat Honestly you couldn't make this up, it's no waybfor a grown up to waste his time. I know someone will want reply but try, really try, unless you have news, remember the page number then we don't need to keep looking I'm now going to try and instill some sanity on the yakubu thread where it will probably be '11 goal for £1m that's expensive' or 'he's lazy' Think I'm having a breakdown

Everyone will be saying he's a waste of money if he doesn't get 20 goals this season. to be honest, i think we need forget the 20+ target. not that i don't think we need someone who will score copious amounts of goals. we simply need a striker. someone with the ability that maynard seems to possess. our squad wont work if we have to rely on schlupp every time nugent picks up a knock. all this talk of the numerical target will just get annoying (..well more annoying) and be a constant nagging pressure on both maynard and sven. They are big enough to deal with it, but i'm not convinced that the patience of the majority of the foxes faithful will hold up if he doesn't bag at least 10 by christmas.

So what if it's £6million. It's none of our money., if we get him then he'll get the same respect as any other LCFC player. I've always thought he was decent. Sven is well experienced enough to know what he is doing. Let's end this saga tomorrow.

He's decent, but because we've been after him for so long people are expecting him to be way better than he actually is. He's a decent Championship striker with potential (nothing more) to be good enough to play in the Prem. That's it. Before the summer, when our fans were all speculating who we would sign up front, hardly anyone mentioned Maynard. We need someone, so if it's Maynard then great, but if we get someone else i'm really not fussed. I don't see why anyone would be.
