Thracian Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 waghorn must leave. He is horrendous. must be the only player who when forty yards out and the crowd shout shoot , shoots. every shot is smashed as hard as he can and therefore mainly goes over the bar. his set pieces either dont beat the first man or.end up in row z . he is a pub player at best and is the steriotypical stupid footballer. hopefully someone will be fooled into buying him Antarctic Albion FC. It won't matter where his shots land out there!
Simo86 Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 Do you feel real big having fighting cats in your avatar. What if the brown one died after getting kicked in the chops? Such a hypocrite....... That's one big bloody cat if that's what you think it is
Roy Cropper Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 That's one big bloody cat if that's what you think it is Ha ha! Sorry man, dog, cat either way, would it be funny if Waghorn smashed a cricket ball into its head while it was asleep?
Simo86 Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 Ha ha! Sorry man, dog, cat either way, would it be funny if Waghorn smashed a cricket ball into its head while it was asleep? Yeah course it would
StarFox Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 If he's a pile of shit, why is he playing in the Championship and we're sat here in front of our computers moaning? If I could rate this up 100 times then I would.
cc_star Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 Waghorn... What's changed? Formation, tactics, out of position, confidence, motivation & work done on the training ground... Are we going to have this same conversation about Gally, King, Mills, SSL and many others before people realise what the common denominator is?
Houdini Logic Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 I've got to say the jury's out for me on Waghorn - think he has potential but not sure he's ever going to fit in to our new team and system and it may be time for him to move on. That said, those of you who saying he is outright shit have a very short, selective or non existent memory...
superfox1980 Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 I wouldnt say Waghorn's shit. He wasn't shit two seasons ago was he? His played out of position most of the time and his confidence is obviously low. Don't think he's good enough for a promotion chasing team in this league. Would like to see him loaned out to a league 1 side to re- discover where the net is. We need to stop playing this shite system that Sven's adopted. 442 is needed. The midfield is shocking right now. They've got no idea other than play it sideways.
blueblood88 Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 I don't think we've got any other option atm, other than to start Waghorn alongside Nugent. You never know, if he is played in his natural position i.e. centre forward, and he scores a a couple of goals, we may see his confidence come back and we see the Waghorn of a couple of seasons ago.

Simo86 Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 we have we can start vassell I'm guessing thats what will happen on saturday
Wymsey Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 I expected better from him. His free-kick cross was like a shot when we were 2-1 behind. However he slightly played out of position tbh on the right.
blueblood88 Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 we have we can start vassell True, but just think its a big shame that it hasn't worked out for Waghorn since he came back. I loved the lad when he was here on loan, and he looked like a really good prospect. You don't turn into a shit player overnight, it's just that his confidence is shot atm. The reason being that Sven has constantly played him out of position. You have to remember that when we got to the play offs in 09/10 season, it was Waghorn's goals that practically got us there, seeing as Fryatt was injured from Februaury. Last season under Sousa, waghorn was played as a centre forward and got a couple of goals as soon as he arrived on a permanent, Norwich away and Scunthorpe at home. At the end of the day, Waghorn is a more natural goalscorer than Vassell is IMO.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 Waghorn... What's changed? Formation, tactics, out of position, confidence, motivation & work done on the training ground... Are we going to have this same conversation about Gally, King, Mills, SSL and many others before people realise what the common denominator is? Waghorn has been shit since we got him. Gally, if I remember correctly was shit under Sousa, but flourished under Sven? King, didn't really do much at the start of the season under Sousa, but flourished under Sven? 16 goals from midfield last season before filtering out. Mills has played 3 games, he looked decent against Cov. SSL played yesterday and admittedly was pretty bad, then shocking when he made that mistake.
Father Ted Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 Is it me or has he pumped that much iron that he can no longer run properly or control his feet anymore?
thybluefox Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 People can bang on about position all they like, but the fact is that he had THREE attempts last night at delivering a ball into the box. The first 2 hit the first man and the 3rd was just blazed over. This sums him up for me, no matter where he plays, he just isn't good enough.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 I'm unsure if this has been mentioned previously, but his freekicks and corners are consistently abysmal. Many a time I scream and beg for him not take a deadball, only for him to put it over everyones head, not beat the first man or hit the ball. Shocking.
Burmesefox Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 Single batchelor with little dog Tony Green of Turnham Green Said 'who's a clever boy then girl, now you know whom I mean' For the mongrel laid a cable in the sandpit of the playground of the park where they had been And with a bit of tissue, he wiped its bumhole clean (A bit of claggy on the waggy) The late Ian Dury - To summise - Waggy is now dogshit
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 No point in keeping him, so let's get him off the wage bill. I really am disappointed that his game has fallen apart.
cc_star Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 Waghorn has been shit since we got him. Gally, if I remember correctly was shit under Sousa, but flourished under Sven? Mills has played 3 games, he looked decent against Cov. SSL played yesterday and admittedly was pretty bad, then shocking when he made that mistake. Everyone was shit under Sousa, he was inept at the area's I mentioned in my post. Therefore your points about Gally & King not being great under him... and Sven being their wonderful saviour isn't a great one. Gally has proven himself over his career & King was great under Pearson too, meaning poor management, coaching & training of Sousa nullified them, just as Sven seems to be doing so far this time around Sven's fast style last season suited King, but Sven has thrown that out of the window in favour of hoofing it from the back in the form of Konchesky (solid defensively, but looks to clear it quickly) & Mills (long criticised for being an uncultured hoofer by Reading fans) and an out of sorts midfield who not only can't control a game like last season's but now can't create chances either.
Joe. Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 He's not shit at all, but he's not in the right state to be involved with a promotion-chasing (ha) team right now. Once we get one or two more faces in we should let him go out on loan - Derby have been after him for ages and would be a good club for him. He'll find his way to a Championship side no problem. Not going to say anything else on him, but he's been wasted here for over a season now. Bit-part outings and shoved out wide far too often.
Burmesefox Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 loan him out to a league 1 top club and then bring him back a fresh with renewed vigour and a swagger of confidence.
funkyrobot Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 Let's blame the substitute. If the selected 11 were doing so well waggy wouldn't get any minutes on the pitch. It's only because the others are playing so shit that Sven has to play a player he clearly doesn't rate. I like waggy and I think his loss of form is linked to his lack of games and his desperation to impress a manager who has shown little interest in him or playing him in his correct role. Sven has to shoulder a lot of the blame for waggy's current plight and the very shit form of most of the first eleven.
Jollie Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 Waggy was a sensation when he had something to prove when he was on loan with us but he had 3 trys at that free kick last night...and only on the 3rd attempt did he mange not to hit a defender and smash some little kids pie out of his hand in the family stand. He looks low on confidence if you ask me...but if he plays like this when he gets his chance he's fu**ed.
stillwater Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 He must show something on the training ground for us to carry on letting him take the free kicks when he comes on.
