zigga-zagga Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Not everyone can be lucky enough to get £12m to £15m for an average League One player. Btw, you lost today. Oh dear you seem to have your wires crossed - we don't play until tomorrow!
sdb Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 The defence doesn't need adding to. It needs time. The attack does need adding to, especially with Nugent injured. A winger would be ideal too.
MC Prussian Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Oh dear you seem to have your wires crossed - we don't play until tomorrow! So even after snitching a late (and undeserved) draw last weekend, you still have nothing better to do than showing up on a Leicester City forum? We played shocking in the second half, but we'll talk about it all again at the end of the season. Now... Good luck tomorrow - because you'll need all of it... and then some.
21st Century Fox Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 The defence doesn't need adding to. It needs time. The attack does need adding to, especially with Nugent injured. A winger would be ideal too. I concur. Bamba could do with having a word to now and again also.

Can't see how our draw last week was undeserved - we had more shots on and off target than you and an equal amount of possession. Hardly our fault if today's hero was a total prat last week and got himself sent off! I look forward to renewing our discussion early tomorrow evening. p.s. It's more interesting on your forum - ours are full of idiots who just moan and moan and moan . Oh - so is yours!

The same argument with more shots and equal possession. All points for Southampton today, but they lost. And so should've you lot. Boateng clearly pushed Konchesky and jumped on top of him. And the majority of your players trying to influence the man in black in your favour numerous times? Hardly a sign of a top club, rather dirty. Say a big thank you to the referee on the way out. EDIT: Funny you signed up three years ago but only feel fit to comment now (and after last week's game). There's moaners and wind-up merchants and you clearly belong to the latter category.

You posts keep going on about possession and shots and cards. Goals win the game. We won today. Some good goals. p.s. You teams shit You keep hanging around this forum. I bet your a secret Leicester City fan.
vandamman Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Decent performance, schlupp looks to have settled in, Fernandes had a standout performance but the defence is terrible at times. Mills is a useless, mardy arse and didn't even come over to the fans at the end. In fairness, his passing was a little better today, sideways rather than booting it up the pitch. We were lucky but onwards and upwards...
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 It was bad enough listening to the update reports on T.V. The last result in. The guy reporting said Kasper played brilliantly, and reminded him of how Kasper,s dad played. Thought we would win, and we did well to get those three points. I have to say, it is a little worrying that we are still letting in goals. Perhaps, the lads will feel more confident, now that we have that all important first win at home. Now is the time for them to pick up the tempo, and begin challenging. The next three games, should tell us a lot, about how good, and confident we are.
Raw Dykes Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 The defence doesn't need adding to. It needs time. The attack does need adding to, especially with Nugent injured. A winger would be ideal too. Agreed! I'm sure we have all the ingredients of a solid defence already. They just need to learn each other's game, which will take time. I think we need two additional strikers minimum (one first choice, and one backup would do), if we can stick with the 4-4-2 diamond, which I think we should. If Sven persists with the 4-3-3, he's going to have to get a good winger or two.
KFS Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Phewwwwww, someone pass me the Kalms! Gelson Fernandes is a quality player- We need to improve the striker and winger roles with players of his quality if we can. Very pleased
Guest Bilo Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Forest fans don't care about us. Honest! Ask any of the hundred or so who've signed up to this forum, any of the posters on the numerous Leicester City threads on LTLF and other Forest forums, any of the fans who were singing 'let him die' about Clive Clarke in 2007 or any of the fans in the entire blocks that were singing 'town full of P*kis' last week and they'll all tell you the same! They don't care about us. No sirree Bob!

It's more interesting on your forum - ours are full of idiots who just moan and moan and moan . Oh - so is yours! Unless a ref screws you over, you always get what you deserve in football. If you have 20 chances and only take 1 and the opposition has 1 chance and takes it and it finishes 1-1, both got what they deserved. One team took their chances and another didn't, therefore it's the teams own fault for missing all those chances. And looking at stats doesn't prove anything anyway. Half a teams "chances" could be shots from the halfway line. Stats are pretty meaningless really.
Guest Bilo Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 On a more relevant note, good win today but the number of goals we are conceding is a worry. Today should have been an opportunity to put down a hell of a marker with us 3-1 up at half-time by scoring one or two and stuffing a team that have looked outstanding up to now. No matter, we've got three points against the form team and go into the international break and the likely transfer activity period with a spot of extra confidence. Well in lads.
jamesmilner Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 sven changed it to 4-5-1 5mins before halftime !!!!! thats when it went wrong ! 4-5-1 just doesnt work !
Guest Col city fan Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Some points to make: 1. We won the game against the top of the league team.. Well done City for that 2. Anyone who knocks Wellens contribution to this team is barmy 3. Four four two.. Cruising and looking like we could score more goals.. And Sven in his post match interview said he wanted to 'go defensive' five minutes before half time so changed the formation.... WHAT? Schlupp was running rings round their back four and became wasted again on the wing 4. Gelson is a beast 5. Bamba is a beast too.. The number of blocks he got in second half was immense 6. Should have had a bet today... Got the scoreline spot on 7. The Saints are a good side coming forward, suspect defensively 8. Kaspers saves were the difference between winning and losing ultimately To summarise... Very entertaining game and a good win. But Sven... Why change things when you did?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Just back. Was an awful game to watch from the Kop - all the action was down the other end! Saint's fans put us to shame - you'd never have know we were winning. And why oh why did we sign "when the blues (saints) go marching in"? It's THEIR song It's embarrassing that we have to nick stuff. I agree with sbd - defence needs more games together. Oh and once again - tuning into RL after the game - I found Skinner gets it completely wrong in the commentary (3rd goal). EDIT: Skinner also hasn't a clue about bringing Tunchev back.
lovelcfc Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 A great win yes sven shouldnt have done what he did in the second half but first half we outplayed a team that are top of the league we have it in us a great win KEEP THE FAITH
Old Mush Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Fair play to ya. Shot ourselves in the foot a bit first half by the sound of it. Good entertainment......for the neutral. Here's hoping it's a top-of-the-table clash when you come to St Mary's.
Ashley Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 We were dominating possesion and could of scored atleast 6 in the first half however we only scored 3. We shouldn't of gone to a 4-4-3 in the second. We were just inviting pressure on our selfs. Well needed win, will post more after work.
Foxinspain Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Mills is a useless, mardy arse and didn't even come over to the fans at the end. In fairness, his passing was a little better today, sideways rather than booting it up the pitch. Harsh. Very harsh. Mills made some fantastic tackles and blocks today.
Webbo Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Tbh I really enjoyed that, 3 good goals in the first half, hanging on for the last half hour. That's entertainment. I still love Bamba, even when he drops a bollock he gets himself out of it, Fernandez,Wellens and Danns all played great. Schmicheal kept us in it but their keeper made some saves aswell.
