Ric Flair Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 I've got a horrible feeling that we're going to have a mare over the next 24 hours and run out of time and serious options. I'm amazed that it's come down to this regarding Maynard, utter disgrace on both parts. I'm bollocking down a shit load of Valium and waking up on Friday.
dimmerchant Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Not like you to start a pointless thread like this. "If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs..."
Yojoe36 Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Guess I'll be skipping work to watch Deadline day on Sky Sports again. *sigh* This year, I'll be disappointed. Last year was pointless
dannythefox Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 I would put a £1000 bet on we get a loan deal or sign someone!
Guest Bilo Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Not like you to start a pointless thread like this. "If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs..." I thought that. Ric was the last person I expected to see as the starter of this thread. I imagine we'll sign somebody but whether it'll be anyone with whom we've already been linked I don't know. Andrew Neville and Sven aren't daft, they'll have other transfer targets in mind if the Maynard deal goes tits.
AdamN Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Because no important signings have ever been made on deadline day, have they?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Don't let the haters get to you Ric, solid thread. Whoever we sign, we'll only end up loaning them to Hull this time next year anyway.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 This is Leicester City, we always do things the hard way ....

Salieri Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 The only thing that's certain tomorrow is that the 'online at once' record will be beaten and the site will crash.
blueredswed Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Come on Sven sign that ones you have in your minds and surprise USSSSSS :scarf:
Webbo Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Meh, what will be, will be. No point worrying about it.
Larry_LCFC Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 I reckon we will make a stupidly high bid for Maynard at like 10pm tomorrow and Bristol will reject it cause they think they're massssive.

shailen Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 We should have signed a striker earlier then now, with deadline day now here we are going to be under pressure and we will overpay for a striker if we sign anyone, i guarantee...we look so desperate right now.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 I'm afraid that if we don't strengthen our options up front then our 'automatic promotion' campaign may grind to a premature halt.... It was only a couple of weeks ago that many were saying we needed a striker AND a winger Get neither and we are depleted up top..
Guest MattP Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 It's depressing, for two people with as much experience as Sven and Neville to be still throwing money around looking for a striker at the end of August with all the time we have had over the summer is a disgrace. I think we will bring in someone, but I am dreading watching the fee we pay. If people think 5mill is putting Mills under pressure, I feel for the poor fcuker coming in tomorrow.
Happy Fox Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 I'm afraid that if we don't strengthen our options up front then our 'automatic promotion' campaign may grind to a premature halt.... It was only a couple of weeks ago that many were saying we needed a striker AND a winger Get neither and we are depleted up top.. It is not all doom and gloom we could still get a striker and winger on loan as a last resort, although having permanent additions would be more preferable. Tomorrow will be interesting to say the least
Corky Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Even with the money, the fact we're not in the Premiership means it's still hard to attract a certain standard of players. They are trying, but we're just hoping for anyone now with our reported bids.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Makes me laugh. People getting into a flap, and panicking.
Guest MattP Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Makes me laugh. People getting into a flap, and panicking. I can understand you saying this last month but I think the time for panic has well and truly kicked in when we are bidding 6.5million for SPL players 26 hours before the dealine shuts.
The People's Hero Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Don't let the haters get to you Ric, solid thread. Whoever we sign, we'll only end up loaning them to Hull this time next year anyway. I'd like to see some of these haters do the octostacker.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 I think we'll sign someone crushingly disappointing. Marvin Morgan or someone like that.
Guest Bilo Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Adebayo Akinfenwa, for that 'big man up front' touch.
