Leeds higher surely? Preston!?

Won the league and cup double when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

I could be wrong but they could have won an FA Cup or two since as well, we probably are talking 50 or more years since they troubled any trophy engraver though.

Despite their recent languishing in lower leagues, Leeds are surely, historically at least, one of the biggest teams in the country.

Blackburn are only in there cos Jack Walker bought them the league.

most of the teams on there success hasnt been in most teenagers life time though...

Tables like this are total BS.

The number of trophies won by Preston, Blackburn and others during the Victorian era bear no relation to those clubs' size now.

That table in the first link was last updated over two seasons ago, so Liverpool had more titles than Man Utd.

Anyway, the table's a bit stupid because it's heavily skewed by earlier events that no one alive today remembers. It would be more interesting to see it done on the past, say, 50 years. It's always such a subjective thing too, despite the attempts, because you have to work out how points are divided between the various aspects (to which there is no right or wrong answer).

Not that I think we should necessarily be any higher up the list mind.

Liverpool have 22 League trophies (when they have won the league), or is it more? I know they have more than Man Utd though. I think Liverpool are the biggest in the country.

Huddersfield not up there? Suprised to see that. Big club, massive fan base with a fair amount of trophies.

Haven't Liverpool got 19 league titles with Man Utd?

Agree with Huddersfield though, thought surely if Preston & Burnley are up there then Huddersfield should be too.

I don't know what this is based on. Liverpool have got 18 Division 1 league titles (prem) I think, but they also have another 4 league titles or something from Divison 2 (championship) which makes them have the most out of every team in England.

I didn't know about that untill I read it in a book just the other month actually.

Ah right, sorry... Didn't consider titles from the 2nd tier. I think you're right in saying Liverpool are the biggest historically though!

Just looking on wikipedia now, they have 23 all together if you count the Lancashire League.

But, yeah, I rekon they are the biggest club in the Country and most certainly one of the biggest in the World. 7 FA Cup, 5 European Cups, 3 UEFA cups, 3 supercups etc

Really?

Man Utd - 12 Premier League titles, average home crowd 75k

Liverpool - 0 Premier League titles, average home crowd 42k

In my opinion yes. Although Manchester United have more Premier League titles, and they get a bigger gate (how many fans actually in there are from Manchester?) I still think Liverpool are bigger. Theres just something about Liverpool for me.

Old Trafford can hold more than what Anfield can anyway.

Liverpool are only called a big club by their own fans nowadays. They're a shocking club. It's alright going on about attendance but you won't hear the media report back about one of their 19k crowds last season.

I think Liverpool are the biggest club in the league.

What makes a club big though? It's the history of the club isn't it? In that case, Liverpool are the most successful in the country. Look at the players they have had, and look at what they have won.

They had abit of a knock within the last few seasons, when was the last time they won something? 2005? They were poorly owned as well. They top that table on page 1 - what can't speak, can't lie.
