Dan Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15006682.stm Jesus. To be fair I think goalkeepers have far less between them in terms of ability than outfield players but I wouldn't go that far.
hackneyfox Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 I've seen Hart make more mistakes than Schmeichel.
Guest MattP Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Just a bt early for that comparison I think. If he wa as good as Jo Hart I think Leeds would of wanted a tad more than a million.
Guest shearfox Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Just a bt early for that comparison I think. If he wa as good as Jo Hart I think Leeds would of wanted a tad more than a million. Leeds didn't rate him
shen Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Just a bt early for that comparison I think. If he wa as good as Jo Hart I think Leeds would of wanted a tad more than a million. Would've thought they would have wanted a bit more for him and Gradel, really. But you're right, Kasper still has to prove himself in the top flight and on the international stage.
Jace Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Sven is right Schmeichel has massive potential and has alot to prove but I think he is just as good, Hart is a great keeper but over valued because he is an England international
Guest MattP Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 I just think we have to wait over a longer period of time before saying things like this. I remember after 6 months here people were actually asking questions why Weale isnt being looked at for England as he was "as good" as anything in there......

Hart is Quality Kasper is very good Weale is errm quite good
wellyfox Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Did Sven not work with both at city. If so is he not in a position to judge both now. After all it is his opinion.
Corky Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 I've seen Hart make more mistakes than Schmeichel. Schmeichel hasn't dropped the ball at Andy King's feet.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Yeah and Weale is as bad as Taibi who played for United that time.
Wymsey Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 This is another problem with Sven, he thinks everyone he purchases are and will be successful in the future.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Shame he's Danish. If you're referring to his England eligibility, he's lived here more than long enough to apply for a GB passport, but he wants to play for Denmark.
davieG Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 This is another problem with Sven, he thinks everyone he purchases are and will be successful in the future. Nothing wrong with talking your players up a somewhat better approach than Holloway when he first arrived here.
Kent Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Based on what we've seen so far I think he would be more than adequate at PL level.
AdamN Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 This is another problem with Sven, he thinks everyone he purchases are and will be successful in the future. Would you rather he purchase players that he doesn't believe will be successful, then?
wellyfox Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Would you rather he purchase players that he doesn't believe will be successful, then? is ok as long as they have passion :crylaugh:
Fox92 Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 I've seen Joe Hart make mistakes for Manchester City and England. Its good that Sven thinks Schmeichel is as good. I personally think Schmeichel so far looks to be the best signings by Sven. Got to be honest, when he was linked, I was abit reserve about it as I didn't think he was that good (plus Longergan was on a free) but Schmeichel has turned my opinion around from the first game I saw him play - Real Madrid. Now though I just can't see how some Leeds fans didn't rate him.

leicesterisme Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 He hasn't really said he's as good as Hart, he said there's almost no difference, so he actually thinks Hart is slighty better.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 If you're referring to his England eligibility, he's lived here more than long enough to apply for a GB passport, but he wants to play for Denmark. Good. As good as he is, and taking into account that he speaks better english than me, I still wouldnt want him playing for England
Charl91 Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Good. As good as he is, and taking into account that he speaks better english than me, I still wouldnt want him playing for England You wouldn't? He's not Joe Hart, that's true. However, he's still no Rob Green or Scott Carson.......
