Just a quick point on attendances think they are all down because of this terrible recession and LCFC are not doing to bad considering.

Perhaps you could help us all out 'Rich' Fox.

Evening, reading the posts with interest. Looking forward of the game tomorrow, i've seen a few trolls rearing their ugly heads, to me Leicester will always be remembered as the worse footballing moment of my life, conversely to a lot on this board it no doubt is one of their best, i think you know i'm talking about wembley play-of final 1994. It hurt, a lot, especially after the semi against Millwall which interestingly enough was probably the most scared at a football match i've ever been, 2 games that will live in the memory for a long time. There was a time, early 90's where Leicster was the biggest game of the season, we were both doing well, and there were some absolute classic games at filbert street. A few that spring to mind, and you'll have to excuse me if i make a few errors my 35 year old brain isn't the best at remembering games nearly 20 years ago, but a 3-3 night match, a 4-3 to leicester night match, and a 3-2 to derby i think on a saturday. some real battles.

the rivalry certainly has died recently, i put it down to, among other things, being in different leagues, and games which there wasn't much riding on it. hopefully tomorrow will be a good game like the old days, both of us doing pretty well at the moment. It would be good to get a little rivalry back, the more of these games we have the better as far as i'm concerned, football as well as winning 3 points is about rubbing the noses of the opposition in it, and if there is an intense rivalry there, so much the better. Hurts when you lose, but its ****ing magic when you win.

The first and probably the last post from a Derby fan that I will ever +1.

I don't get why fans try to distance themselves from rivalries. I even enjoy our rivalry with Cov, despite them being a shit club with shit fans. It's good fun and adds excitement.

I was born in the early 90s so when I first started to get into supporting Leicester the matches against Derby were always talked about and I watched a number of them on the season reviews, including some of the great games you talk about. Because of this and as we rarely seemed to play Forest back then I always saw this as the big one. With us both playing Forest more nowadays I think that has contributed to this game being less 'significant' but I still consider it a big game.

One slight thing I have to point out about your post though is that when listing some great games we've had you failed to mention this one for some unknown reason :)

As for that 3-3 night match, I don't know if you can remember who scored a hat-trick for us that night but I'm sure you'll be reminded tomorrow

yeah cheers for that, how could i forget :appl:

remember watching that in a pub in aldgate east with a fellow derby fan, they always laid on a buffet for the sunday games on tv hence why 2 students went there. i remember vividly the landlord coming over and dumping a couple of pints onto the table after the fourth went in after about 15 minutes saying these 'were on the house, you need them'; to general laughter throughout the whole pub.

I just asked a serious question about your precarious financial situation if you don't get promoted this year. I haven't had a propper answer yet?

Massive game. I think we'll need an early goal if we're gonna get a result today. Anybody know if Beckford, Wellens and Johnson will be available?

Looking forwards to this one as I missed the Brighton game (shame on me). Seems like ages since the F'king Power stadium was visited. Likely to be tight early on, the first goal will be crucial (that's it for the cliches). Would love us to be strolling by the second half so we can extoll the virtues of Leicester to our our near, beloved neighbors. Unlikely though, as will probably go down to the wire, but hoping for a win.

This has more than likely already been posted but

Sven says Wellens, Beckford and Johnson all major doubts for Derby, but there could be a surprise. None have trained so unlikely
