Phube Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 PLEASE be true! Nvidia outs Grand Theft Auto V on PC this autumn Tuesday 13 Aug 2013 2:23 pm 22 Use ↠→ keys to Grand Theft Auto V – does a PC version make an Xbox One and PS4 edition more likely?A PC version of Rockstar’s new GTA game will be out this year, according to an exec at graphics card maker Nvidia. Rockstar are not a company that appreciates their secrets being spoiled but graphics chip firm Nvidia appears to have let the cat out of the bag over their PC plans for GTA V. According to website Seeking Alpha senior director Chris Evenden told his investors the following: ‘Gamers are preparing their systems for a strong roster of games coming this fall, including blockbuster franchises, such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, Grand Theft Auto V and Assassin’s Creed IV.’ His comments seem fairly unambiguous, as he was talking specifically about the PC market at the time. Which is big news, because up to this point Rockstar has refused to confirm any plans for a PC version. Although he doesn’t mention a date, which might mean it comes out after the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions on 17 September, previous PC versions of Grand Theft Auto have taken a year or more to appear on the PC. Sometimes Rockstar don’t even bother making a PC version at all, as with Red Dead Redemption – which many had feared would be the case with Grand Theft Auto V. Until Rockstar says something official we won’t know for sure, but what’s most peculiar about the situation is why they feel the need to be secretive about the PC version at all. The secrecy in turn only fuels suspicions that they might announce Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions somewhere along the line too, perhaps based on the PC version.
whoareyaaa Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 Looks great, you can't play online until October the 1st which I think is a good idea as you will be able enjoy the single player.
Foxhateram Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 Stuff teaching I have just met my new world! Bring on October half term!
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 Phube - I'm afraid that was a hoax, NVidia denied it according to IGN There almost certainly will be a PC version but it won't be this year. Rockstar would already have announced it if it was that soon

Manwell Pablo Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 Boooo... Well I won't have the cash anyway (more Wii U games to get!). If you're that hard up Phube I can lend you a tenner that should cover every one worth getting.
Phube Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 If you're that hard up Phube I can lend you a tenner that should cover every one worth getting. About £105 should do it!
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 Not being funny Phube but what Wii U games out now (or coming soon) could you possibly prioritise over GTA V, if you have any interest in GTA? The story will be better than anything on Wii U. The driving will be better. The shooting will be better. The physics will be better. The visuals will be better. The structure will be better. The multiplayer will be better. The replayability will be better. The soundtrack will be better. The scope will trounce the entire Wii U back catalogue combined. And if you're that into Mario Kart - on GTA V, you'll be able to make your own custom multiplayer races (go karts only) with better power ups (RPGs), better characters, better everything. If you're into Lego City, play GTA V with all the goofy cheat codes enabled. There's a golf minigame, so you needn't bother with Mario Golf, and bowling and pool etc eliminates the need for Wii U Sports. Smash Bros and Mario Galaxy Bros (whatever) will be the same as they have been for the last 15 years, so skip them. Sell the Wii U, get a 2nd hand 360 for £30 and get the better versions of all the Wii U games, which have all been available for a year or two and will cost about £10 each (or less). Problem solved!
GLC Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 Lets not be hard on Phube, he must have completed all of the Wii U games out so far........ Well all 4 of them
Phube Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 I'll take these point by point! Not being funny Phube but what Wii U games out now (or coming soon) could you possibly prioritise over GTA V, if you have any interest in GTA? - As I don't own a 360/PS3 then it's not prioritising. It's Rockstar's fault for not releasing a PC version at the same time. The story will be better than anything on Wii U - Possibly, depends on whether you prefer original stories or rehashes of Movies/TV Series. The driving will be better. - Better that NFS:MW, a dedicated driving game, the one thing about GTA series is the driving has always been a bit loose! The shooting will be better. - Better than COD - BLOPS 2/Ghosts? Seriously!? The physics will be better. - Maybe... but how do you compare the physics in GTA V vs Batman Origins/Splinter Cell/Watch Dogs/Ass Creed IV etc. The visuals will be better. - You do realise that whatever you think the WiiU is better than the PS3 and 360. And can you compare Rayman Legends/Pikmin 3 art styles to GTA styles. Let alone the visuals of the above mentioned games. The structure will be better. - Maybe... if it follows GTA VC/SA and not IV, that phone call Roman chore was an arse! The multiplayer will be better. - How many are still playing GTA IV multiplayer... compared to SMash Bros, Mario Kart. Going to have your mates over to play GTA V are you? Some multiplayer is better than others! The replayability will be better. - Again some GTA's are more replayable than others. But i've currently got >100hrs on Nintendo Land, The soundtrack will be better. - This I will probably agree with. The scope will trounce the entire Wii U back catalogue combined. - Define Scope? And if you're that into Mario Kart - on GTA V, you'll be able to make your own custom multiplayer races (go karts only) with better power ups (RPGs), better characters, better everything. - I must say the one thing Mario Kart has always needed was more RPG's! If you're into Lego City, play GTA V with all the goofy cheat codes enabled. - I Don't use cheat codes until I've finished the game! There's a golf minigame, so you needn't bother with Mario Golf - Possibly, but one looks golf 'sim' and the is arcade golf. Bowling and pool etc eliminates the need for Wii U Sports. - No such game!? Smash Bros and Mario Galaxy Bros (whatever) will be the same as they have been for the last 15 years, so skip them. - And how has GTA changed since 2001? Sell the Wii U, get a 2nd hand 360 for £30 and get the better versions of all the Wii U games, which have all been available for a year or two and will cost about £10 each (or less). Problem solved! - I could never go back to playing Batman Arkham games without my map screen, so slow... ugh ruins the game!
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 Fair points! I'm think I'm too smitten by GTA.
Frank_mckenzie Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 Smash Bros and Mario Galaxy Bros (whatever) will be the same as they have been for the last 15 years, so skip them. - And how has GTA changed since 2001? Yeah it's got worse but praying this is going back to the fun times from the old gta's

You actually make the Wii U sound half decent think Nintendo need to get you on there books.
Manwell Pablo Posted 21 August 2013 Posted 21 August 2013 You actually make the Wii U sound half decent think Nintendo need to get you on there books. They could get Derren Brown on their books they still wouldn't shift consoles
LestaFox92 Posted 21 August 2013 Posted 21 August 2013 They could get Derren Brown on their books they still wouldn't shift consoles Yeah probley getting abit carried away with myself just you wait tho that new remake of zelda will put everything right.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 August 2013 Posted 22 August 2013 Yeah probley getting abit carried away with myself just you wait tho that new remake of zelda will put everything right. I've still got the original version of that, worth a few bob on t'internet that is. To be fair, the Wii U could be alright as a second console once it has a few more games out and inevitable drops another £50.
