Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 Looks like grove street I really hope Grove Street is still in there, even just to see if I can still climb on top of CJ's house to see if there's a can of spray paint there (possible easter egg?) - also be cool if CJ was still knocking around as a cameo in his 40's, but I doubt it. Maybe Glory Hole theme park will feature? Is Area 69 still there? BMX/mountain bike trials? Love how there's obviously loads of difference in terrain, for me that was the main thing missing from GTA IV. I loved GTA IV but you could never get out of the city. Also hope there's less focus on socialising this time around, or if friends want to hang out, they come to you. Ah hell I don't care what happens I'm just properly stoked for this. The game could be a barren landscape with just K-Rose and a dirtbike and it'd still be the best game of this generation.

Can't see it, Liberty City was totally reimagined and cameos from previous generation were totally ruled out, I can see San Andreas being totally reimagined, the only cameo you'll get is from one of the characters from GTA IV or one of it's add ons. Don't get that attitude, Rockstar normally churn out top games, but I actually think GTA IV (while it was by no means bad) is by far their worst and most dissapointing game they've released this generation. Lacked new ideas and strong characters, and it's Multiplayer component could of been much more indepth (see Red Dead Redemption). If people are going to call it the best game of this generation, I'd actually like it to be because it is outstanding, not because it's the follow up to San Andreas

Personally I loved GTA IV - it was no where near as fun as San Andreas, but it was witty, sharp, cinematic and - for the time - has absolutely mind-blowing physics and details. I haven't played a better sandbox game this generation, although GTA Chinatown wars was close, and the mix of GTA1 / 2 with elements of III and the city from IV was brilliant. Might boot that up again soon I'd call IV outstanding for it's time, but for different reasons to San Andreas. But overall San Andreas was definitely better imo, there's no end to ways to have fun in that game - I hope GTA V can capture that

Carl the Llama Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 Trevor looks like a proper funny-ass nutter. Considering getting a PS3 just for the hillbilly drug-dealing shenanigans alone.

I've tried a few times but to no avail. I'm currently playing through San Andreas again, it's much more entertaining.

Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 4 May 2013 Posted 4 May 2013 I'm waiting just a little longer to preorder in case they do announce a special edition - I managed to get the Collectors Edition for GTA IV which was brimming with geeky goodness
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 More screenshots released: http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/05/08/action-shots-of-grand-theft-auto-v-bikes-planes-and-parachutes As it turns out, Franklin appears to be part of the Grove Street gang, and turf warfare between them and the Ballas will return - excellent!
Fox92 Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 Graphics do look good, but I hope it isn't too 'real'. Always though GTA4 was like this, as apose to previous editions.

DB11 Posted 9 May 2013 Posted 9 May 2013 Yes... "As opposed". The picture clearly represents "grammar Nazi" lol
Gav_LCFC Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Grove street vs ballas? PLEASE? Hope we can go back to CJ's house.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 Wish this was out now. It would've helped me to get over the pain of Sunday much more easily!
Fox92 Posted 16 May 2013 Posted 16 May 2013 I also wish this was out now. I've got all summer, then it will be coming out in September when I'm back at uni! Screenshots look impressive.
