The forum used to get some interesting & accurate info from him. I haven't seen anything from him for quite a while now, so what happened? I remember that there were a few posters that used to question his info & some even ridiculed him, so was he Killed In Action or did he just quit because of these plonkers? Could it be that Bert is the reincarnation of KIA? If you are out there KIA, maybe you would answer my question?

Maybe but after he quit he contacted me and continued to give me info that proved reliable although that did eventually dry up, perhaps he missed the recognition and approval that some the people that post this stuff seem to want. But he's gone so I don't know why there's even a topic on the subject or why I'm bothering to post in it when I've got 'contacts' to see.

That was one rumour there were others like he was just someone who spent his days hanging around the training ground and eventually got told to do one but like all the rumours that arise about players/managers it's anybodies guess but the % of accuracy must be extremely low. Makes you wonder why anyone takes any of it seriously.

No, he's just a fan who used to go to the training ground everyday and speak to players/staff when they came in or left. Think things got a bit stricter regarding people going to watch training, hence no more info.

But people don't just question it they hurl abuse and are frankly down-right rude to some which always strikes me as pointless and as much a self seeking exercise as those pushing out the 'rumours' are often accused of - why don't people just ignore what they don't believe.

I do remember KIA getting stick because he made a statement at the beginning of pre season and when what he stated didn't come off he got a lot of grief from a minority who visit this site. To be fair everybody gets it from time to time on here. I've learnt its just the way people are on this site as most are quite young and intolernt you either exept it or stop posting. The number of times I've wanted to tell some one to feck off but I don't bother now just ignore it.
