davieG Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Considering the abuse he's getting from many fans on here (maybe deserved) would you have him in your starting line up against his old team?
kylestyle06 Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 No, I don't care who we play at the moment he wouldn't make the subs bench .
The Doctor Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 after being dropped and against his old team I'd think he'd have a point to prove, but Big Steve always scores v leeds and Nugent's in form so bench at most from me.
Saxondale Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Give him a chance to start and tell him he has a point to prove. If he does nothing, bring him off and give him a dressing down. "Only weak people feel pressure"
Mack Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Personally I wouldn't, but then personally I would never have bought him in the first place.
Callabinho Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 I would at least bring him on! Never know could nick the decisive goal
acooling08 Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Bench. Howard can't manage another full 90 minutes surely. Bring Beckford on midway through 2nd half.
I am Rod Hull Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 I cant see Howard being dropped to be honest. The last 30 mins for a wound up Beckford would be ok.
whoareyaaa Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Yes.. Bring Howard on in the last 30mins if he aint done Fvck all. and then sell him back to Everton for half the price and give MON the transfer funds to sign. Job done.
m00nie Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 yes.. use howard as a sub.. beckford should hopefully be fired up and have a point to prove to us, there fans, and the new manager..... he may have been lazy so far but still got the potential there to be quality..
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Not for me cos I wouldn't change a winning team at present
topharry123 Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 We've played well the last two games and don't need to change the team. I'd have him as a sub but definitely not a starter.
Bayfox Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 would i play him ever again after his attitude at WHU, No. However I could see playing well and scoring against his old club would help him, plus you would think if the leeds fans give him a load of abuse, our fans would hopefully respond by backing him, which may build a few bridges.
goose2010 Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 i would start him and use howard as sub (if required) beckford is a big game player (according to Eventon and Leeds fancs anyway) and surely they dont come bigger than this for Beckford. If and this is a big IF he starts and runs wild it will change how leicester fans see him and could kick start his season which is needed for both parties!
BrummieFOX Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Yea, I'd play him. Though guaranteed if he does start, some people will boo his name when read out. Guaranteed!
dpjfox Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 i would play him as im sure he would be "up for this" a goal and good performance would do him the world of good. Having said that (i was at Burnley and we played a lot of long balls up to Howard), if we are to continue playing it long, even at home then maybe that system suits Howard better (maybe Howard/Beckford and Nugent on the left) i doubt Howard would complete another 90 mins, but im sure MS will do whats best
Kitchandro Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Absolutely not. He's been gash and Howard, Nuge and Gally deserve their place. We just won at Burnley and I wouldn't change the starting line-up. Besides, if anyone's destined to score against Leeds, it's Howard.
iancognito Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 No, I just don't think he's up for it at all. Looks like a guy still upset at being dumped by a Premier League team for the best offer they could get. In the 3 or 4 games I've seen him he makes Yakubu look like Usain Bolt. He's got no urgency, no desire and having 3000 Leeds fans booing his every move won't make any difference to that. Needs a few weeks in the reserves to shake a bit of life into him and get the hunger back again. Schlupp, Howard and Nugent all deserve a place ahead of him.
Mythyaar Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Why do people assume he's itching to "prove" himself for us? He came to Leicester for the money, plain and simple. He'd be happy as larry sitting on the bench, preferably not as a sub, and taking home his wages for not playing. My Evertonian friends told me: "that Beckford lad will do a job for yooze lot: a very bad job!!"
lcfcadam Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Absolutely not at all under any circumstances. Play the same starting team and subs bench as against Burnley, pure and simple.
