Who actually wants Pearson?

I want Pearson. Proven motivator, gets the best out of his players, knows the league, got what it takes, why would you not want him? The MON dream is over and NP is a very capable second.

Pearson said he couldn't believe it when Milan Mandaric was showing possible investors (the new owners) around when he knew nothing about it..

It could be this guy really thought he was on the way out and has unfinished business here. Or it could be money talks. Either way Pearson is proven at Hull City in his limited time and he has been our most succesful manager since Mickey Adams who left in 2004 and we probably hold the record for the most managers since then!!!

I don't see any harm in going back if that's what works and even if Pearson got us promoted and jumped ship (which may now be the concern of some fans), then so be it. Find me more than 3 managers in England that haven't jumped ship for a bigger job when they have had the chance? It's football.

If Pearson lost 10 games on the trot some fans would still try to convince us that he won 'em.

I'm sorry, but if this was supposed to be a joke, it was a terrible one--especially as you always try to convince us that wins are losses if Leicester don't play with enough panache to satisfy you.

Football will still be football whether or not Nigel Pearson is the new manager, but if you insist on being a snob about Leicester's play even if is effective, suit yourself. You might have to do a lot of traveling if you want to book a Saturday afternoon tee time in winter. ;)

MON > Pearson > Sven > Jones/Keane/Di Matteo/Clark/Hughes/Curbs...

You can't argue with maths.

how many times has a manager got a team out the championship...

what are the maths to that ??

You spotted the problem with the equation, that wasn't factored in... it was more of a personal opinion kinda maths.

Anybody who is 'dreading' Pearson coming back hasn't got a ****ing scooby doo. He literally made only 2 real errors at his time here;

1. Selling Max Gradel, and for next to nothing at that

2. Wrong Team Selection / Tactics for the 1st Leg of the Play-Off Semi v Cardiff

Otherwise he was brilliant. Okay so he's not the most entertaining when being interviewed. Well, on the opposite hand Ian Holloway was, and he ****ed up more than any other manager in our history and will have to live with that fact, and take it to the grave with him.

So he doesn't play the most attacking or attractive brand of football... GET REAL YOU IDIOTS, WE'RE LEICESTER CITY, NOT ARSENAL / MAN U / BARCA / MAN CITY!! I accept that teams such as West Brom under DiMatteo played excellent football and got promoted, but you ask any Baggies fan about Megson, and they speak highly of him... cos he got 2 promotions with them, and that really was dire football.

Another example of people getting too big for their boots and having unrealistic expectations- Roman Abramovich. Under The Special One, they won everything under the Sun, bar the Champions League, which they would have done had Jose been there for the Final against united in Rome, and if not then the following season. He went on to win it with Inter, and he'll get Real Madrid to the semi's at least this season. Yet since they sacked him they haven't really won anything apart from an FA Cup. And the reason he was sacked- cos Roman wanted 'attractive/sexy' football. He got that to a degree with Scolari, Ancelotti and Villas-Boas. But they won / will not win **** all. Chelsea fans would love to have Jose's 'boring football' back.

You stupid, stupid fans, banging on about Pearson's 'boring football'- seriously, shut up. You're entitled to an opinion, but you're chatting a load of nonsense. Winning Football is all I care about at the minute, and when my team wins, thats' entertainment to me. Winning enough games to get us promoted. Then we can hopefully get settled in the Prem, the Thai boys back us a bit more, and then maybe we can thing about attractive, and winning football.

Do you think established Prem teams like Villa, Everton, Stoke, Sunderland, Blackburn play great football week in, week out- no they don't. As long as they're winning, their fans couldn't give a sh*t. Even under Martin O'Neill, the press use to hammer us for playing effective football, which worked for us, but wasn't pretty on the eye- WHO CARES!? If we get 4 top 10 consecutive seasons, with cup runs and Europe under Pearson, playing his particular brand of football, will you still complain then!?!?!?!

Sometimes there's no making people happy. I say shut up, see what happens, and if he is appointed, then support him, cos we'll be in with a shout of going up if tweaks things correctly. But don't mock him for what he did here, he got us promoted from the nether regions at the first time of asking, and we had great fun along the way, and he got us to within a sensible penatly kick off a play-off final, which we all agree we would have won against Blackpool, a team we did the double over that season.

And for those of you with short memories, under NP in the Championship, we had entertaining victories/matches against QPR- home and away (1-2 on Sky & 4-0), Forest home, 3-0, Watford 4-1, Middlesboro 2-0, Blackpool home & away, Sheff Weds 3-0, 0-0 against run away leaders Newcastle, with 10 men, when we deserved to win, we beat swansea in the league and cup at home, another double over Palace, the 3-3 against Watford (which I accept we should have won), and the list goes on...

Good day.

*(Please note I am not related to Nigel Pearson)

i dont understand why people dont want him back, he knows the club he knows the league, and gets the best from the players. Yet to be proven on what he could do with money, but considering some of the names linked like dowie, davies, worthington, I would take NP in a heart beat

Apart from his Max Gradel blunder, his dealings has been pretty good. Even the players he signed who are now shite [Weale, Morrison etc] performed very well under him, and that proves that Pearson can get an extra 20% out of players and make them perform above their weight.

If Pearson comes back we're back to business.

I'd welcome him back with open arm. Did a very good job in his first spell and has done pretty well at Hull in the meantime. Deserves another crack after the way he was treated before, big difference this time is he will have money to spend.

Pressure will be on to get us up this year of course and I'd love it for him to be the man to achieve it.

So he's not a big name? Big deal, going down that route didn't serve us too well with Sousa and Sven did it?

Whats all this shit football played bollocks?

Were you not at the game when we beat QPR 4-0 under NP? Even the play off second leg when we outplayed Cardiff in an extremley tense situation? Some of the football we played under NP was sublime. Yes we did play some hoofball and keep it tight at times but that showed we could adapt.

"Horses for Courses" come to mind.

Dull City even played some great football against West Ham last Saturday.

You NP Haters get your head from out your arses.....give me winning football over keep ball for no reason and no end product any time.

I will welcome your boring interviews and unstylish winning football back here anytime Nige.
