Happy Fox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 It is not as if we are in the relagation places NP will have 30 games to manage in if he can get lets say 60 points that is promotion form keep the faith UTF
Bellend Sebastian Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Just for you. Dead-eyed Nige. Pure sexiness. I've got things to do! It's the inky black depths of nothingness I see when I look into his eyes that REALLY get me going
Corky Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Get ready for turgid football, this really is a massive step back for us all. I know, I couldn't get enough of the football we played against Reading, Bristol City, Millwall, Leeds and the second half v Watford. Pure football that was.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 The only gripe I had with some of those games, and this is the same with Sven, was that we took the lead and looked in control, only for us to sit back and pay for it. The Coventry game was a nightmare, that was a game where we played absolutely gorgeous football for 45 minutes, then surrendered in the second half. Thanks for refreshing my memory, we were brilliant in some of those. Though having said that we never lost a game which we scored first in. A point was the minimum.
Kitchandro Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I know, I couldn't get enough of the football we played against Reading, Bristol City, Millwall, Leeds and the second half v Watford. Pure football that was. And what about the away games - Birmingham, Cardiff, Middlesbrough, Barnsley - jizzworthy displays....
Kitchandro Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Though having said that we never lost a game which we scored first in. A point was the minimum. Good point
Sk4 Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 For those FANS who weren't at the home game when Nigel brought Hull down at the then Walkers last season wouldn't have witnessed the standing ovation Nigel received from the City Faithful , I for one would welcome him back big time , the Birch said that we have a special manager in the making during the time he was here , I dont think I am not alone in wanting him back at City .
BlueSi13 Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Great man, great manager, should never have been pushed out of here in the first place. Welcome home I hope the fans and owners realise though that promotion this still remains unlikely. He deserves at least a full 12 months to do his thing Though saying that...he's taking over whilst we are in a far better state than we were the last time he took the hotseat....do we dare to dream?
astoriafox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Would be glad to have him back. What a point he will have to prove to show the owners and Mandaric what a huge mistake it was to let him go (push him out) & what we have missed for 2 years. He will have the bit between his teeth and you never know, but he may turn out to be as succesful as MON. Love MON dearly, but his football was never scintiliating was it?
Guest shearfox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 And we might get Weale back as first choice
topharry123 Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 And we might get Weale back as first choice Under Pearson he was awesome, barely put a foot wrong. It's since Pearson left that he has been pretty awful!
topharry123 Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Get ready for turgid football, this really is a massive step back for us all. A step backwards? A step backwards was Sousa and Sven. With Sven we spent far more money and got nowhere. Under Pearson we got promoted and also made the play offs with a team that on paper was no better than mid table. He got the best out of our players and they wanted to play for him. Who knows what he can do with a larger budget. All in all, I bet there were very few Leicester fans that were pleased when he left, so if you don't want him you really are in the minority.
ajthefox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I can't believe this is happening. As others have said I don't think this is really what the Thais wanted, I think they're doing this because they know it will buy them the faith of many of us fans. However, their supposed need for a big name is one which ultimately is not the most important thing, we've learnt that the hard way with Sven. This might be a move of desperation from them, who knows, but either way I couldn't care less. They might even learn something from this. I can feel the pride lost since that night in Cardiff seeping ever so slowly back inside me. Welcome home, Nigel, you are back where you belong.
Happy Fox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 No I think the Thais are doing this because they have realized their own shortcomings that to get out of this league you need the know how and nouse NP certainly does
itsblueupnorth Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Anyone who doesn't want Pearson back has fell for the Man City of the Championship lark and is no longer in touch with reality. We would be lucky to have him...again! Totally agree - if we can get Nigel back we should be very thankful - cant believe all the flack he's been getting off some of you lot - he had 2 seasons here - won the Div1 championship in his first season and we reached the play-offs in the 2nd - some people need a reality check
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Welcome home Nige However I feel the key to his appointment is if he brings Steve Walsh (Senior) back as he is one of the countries best scouts
Koke Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Looks like it's happening. His post-match interview after the West Ham game was weird though.
wurmer Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Looks like it's happening. His post-match interview after the West Ham game was weird though. I thought he did well to stay in the middle ground tbh...
body102 Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Nigel would be able to turn Bamba into a proper defender , and not someone who thinks he is Lionel Messi at times

fox_favourite Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I'm trying to keep my feelings quiet...but...going....to....burst.............................. :celebrate: :celebrate: If this happens WELCOME HOME MR PEARSON
John Matrix Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 loved him when he was here but that's the past. don't really agree with messing up another team (don't care about Hull but the principle of it) when there are quality unemployed managers available .
suffolk fox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Am very underwhelmed by this appointment. We have missed a trick in not appointing Billy Davies or Dave Jones in this division. Both can deliver teams at this level to make the play offs and compete for promotion. Under Pearson it will be boring football again. People have short memories. If it wasn't for his negative play one up front tactics in the play off first leg against Cardiff at home we would have made the final that year as Cardiff were for the taking. The 2nd leg proved that. We are going backwards. The thais wanted a big name in football to advertise the brand over their. Nigel Who?
