Heavy cannabis users in my humble opinion usually have severe mental health issues. It's one thing to smoke the odd joint allegedly but another to be a heavy user

Used to know a guy who smoked loads everyday for at least 3 years and he's fine. He's got a short fuse but not sure thats down to weed

I know a bloke who has regularly smoked it for over 10 years and he is a wreck

It's never going to become legal so I don't see why you're gassing over it.

It's been made legal in Colorado. I don't think you can make statements likes that with any real certainty. There have been far more dramatic changes in society than this.

I feel like it might as well be legal. But I wouldn't recommend to anyone to actually smoke it.

I agree. I've seen enough people do it over the past few years to realise that it isn't something that's likely to be met with any punishment.

Not something I want to try myself though. Seems like a bad road to walk down.

It's all about just being sensible I guess. A spliff with your mates doesn't turn you into a heroin addict

Sounds like a cardiac arrest brought on by the cannabis. Probably a preexisting weakness exposed by the drug. In such a case I don't know what is officially to blame - the cannabis or the preexisting condition? Either way, obviously cannabis had an impact.

Those who are calling for scientific studies - how exactly? Get a bunch of people with varied levels of health and preexisting conditions and then give them shit loads of cannabis and observe whether or not they die? I'm pretty sure you can't really do that these days. Though there would surely be no shortage of volunteers for that trial.

The thing about that story i don't get it how the heart attack was triggered. What heart rate gives you more chance of a heart attack? My heart rate has been in excess of 160bpm before but didn't get a heart attack, I wonder if she had any heart problems . I'm also surprised 1 joint could have that affect. Sad news anyway, rip

reports are coming in of the size of the joint...

I used to know everything that was poppin on the streets - from which coppers were selling the best crack to who did a shit on Mad Gary's back seat - but I heard about some new craze in Canada and America called dabbing that is new to me, which is the expensive version of weed so I believe. Not sure if it's popular with young people in the UK or not. Saw this video and thought 'Christ on a bike, I hope none of my young family get involved with these kind of people.'

I've inhaled marijuana, but this is insane. What a bunch of prats. There's more to life than dabbing you great freaks.

Edit : Those earrings or whatever they are literally make me wanna puke.

The typical white middle class inner-city American who likes to pretend he's gangsta but puts an Instagram filter on his videos.

I normally find this attempt at music funny, but it was so atrocious I was just embarrassed for him. The thug lyfe definitely didn't choose him.

That young man needs to turn his hat around the right way, scrub those transfers off his arms, put on a shirt and listen to some Mantovani...

look how much money the government make from tax on fags and booze. do you not think they would love to get there hands on the extra money they could get from legalising this. if theres any doubts over health implications then i feel there right not to legalise it.

It's a well known fact that the government only started taking action on issuing the health warnings of smoking cigarettes once the cost of treating smoking related disease began to outweigh the revenue from tax. It's a sick industry. And yet, they still won't legalise cannabis. Surely that alone says an awful lot.

Total bollocks.

I'm not interested in smoking it as it just doesn't appeal to me however I understand why people do and if it was made legal I wouldn't be bothered but what does irritate me is how people see it as a lifestyle choice.

The whole hemp plant should be legal. It can produce basically everything society needs so I've heard. Someone told me you can make car bodies out of the pisser and it can be turned into some material that is stronger than steel.

If we started lots of hemp farms we could kick start mass production, which is seriously lacking, in this country again.

That said, I'm not up for legalising all street drugs. I've seen the effects of many of them and they're very destructive. While certain agencies make billions from trafficking though, the drama will continue.

Around people who smoke it every day, and those people who do are all *****, and I mean proper arseholes. Personally would never touch it as I really don't see why you'd need or want to, nor do I understand how it is 'cool' or fashionable.
