Webbo Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Cruel. Why bring on Gallagher when you're holding on for a draw?
Matt Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Can't really comment as I only managed to listen to the last 10-15 mins, but I'm angry, not sure who or what (Well I know what - We lost, that's what i'm angry at). Who we blaming then? The ref? (Only joking as I said I can't really comment i've not seen or listened to it, but regardless of whether it is or not people love to blame the referee even when it's not his fault just wondering if this is one of the occasions, no doubt i'll be able to form an opinion of it when I see a reply)
Babylon Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 One of those games that you can't take much from due to what happened. Onwards and upwards.
Bryn Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Seriously guys, sit down in your chair tonight and crack open a bottle of wine, watch some TV and relax. This game is unlikely to be crucial. We defended very well, Hull were poor, the refereeing was very questionable and it's honestly not worth worrying about. Let Pearson do that.
lcfcsnow Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 If you take off all your strikers, whatever the situation, you deserve nothing in my book.
Leicfox Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Good effort with 10 men, and a good strike from outside the area had to settle it. I still think were going to have a very very good December.
nuttytimmy Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Ho-hum. To have got a point from that would have been a great result, so to go down by just one (very nicely taken) goal is nothing shameful. The lads fought well, but didn't have the stamina of the XI Tigers on the day. Conclusions.
Guest Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 and all this crap people say about Bamba one day ****ing things up for the team. That's at least the second time this season Mills has ****ed up and Bamba has been a star. Ho-hum. To have got a point from that would have been a great result, so to go down by just one (very nicely taken) goal is nothing shameful. The lads fought well, but didn't have the stamina of the XI Tigers on the day. Conclusions. 1 point from the game even before the match would have been decent but no points is doom
Master Fox Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 After watching the game I think we did pretty well. The sending off cost us the game.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Mills cost us this game, such a ****ing stupid thing to do. Some of his clearances have led to oppositions goals as well, I can think of at least two or three occasions this has happened. However his red card against Forest was not his fault.
Dylan Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Feel sick after losing that. Questionable refereeing- surely Nugent was pushed in the back for (at least) a 2nd yellow?! The only good thing to come out of today is that Forest are in the relegation zone.
Guest Bilo Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Defended like warriors against 12 11 men for an hour and were undone by a cracker of a goal. Tough to ignore the impact of a sending off that looked harsh at best but missing men in midfield were the biggest disappointment for me. Danns had a stinker of a game with King and Wellens pretty much anonymous for long periods. Konchesky didn't deserve to be on the losing side, the bloke was a monster. St. Ledger played well enough to make Mills sweat on his place when he returns from suspension too. A disappointing result but we'll finish above Hull at the end of the season. On a further note, their fans sound remedial.
Jace Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Got to lose at some point with Pearson, even then they only beat us with a penalty and being down to 10 men for most of the match they are nothing we are better and we will smash them at home
Kitchandro Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 From the match thread... Fraid Gally let us down big time - can't play up front (too weak) and his corner surrendered the ball for the move that ended in their goal - weakest link today, as he is most times I've seen him play. Should have bought Beckford back on, at least he has some life about him and is prepared to get stuck in - oops Nige, Sven was fired for making mistakes like this! What a thick thing to say. He was asked to play in a position which we know he can't play in these circumstances. We were 2nd best for the whole game and there were only about 3 good individuals performances. Mills let us down by giving away an unecessary penalty and getting himself sent off AGAIN. How many times did Danns and Wellens give it away, only for Hull to waste a chance? Same old scapegoats for every setback.
Guest parky0607 Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Cant believe people are blaming Gally, seriously WTF. He gets shoved up top on his own with 3 defenders around him whilst no other player supports and youre criticising him? He did whatever he could, but leaving 1 man up top and asking him to 'go fetch' never wins a game IMO.
Yojoe36 Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Looks like there's a scapegoat... Matt Mills I thought SSL played well today. I know my back 4 now.
Fmfox Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 i havent seen the red card incident, was it a red or not?
whoareyaaa Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 playing with ten men and one striker for 60 minutes we did well to hold on, and was only beat by a good shot. the red cards changed the game today but we still managed to fight on and unlucky not to come away with a point.
Babylon Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 On a further note, their fans sound remedial. Yup... cheering a miss placed pass like they had just scored. Goons. Let the little boys have their day, come the end of the season I believe we'll be in a better position.
James18 Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 You do realise we have been playing for an hour with 10 men away from home don't you? Good effort against adversity. Onwards to next week. Ref was shite and it would have been a different game if the Hull chap had got a deserved 2nd yellow for the push on Nugent. I'm aware of that. I accept we have to defend, but I can't stress enough how you can't give the ball to the opposition and allow a team to pressure you for 20 minutes straight. it's not on!
Shrew Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 cant help but feel Pearson was forced to take off Nugent after getting the Gallagher substitution wrong. He must've lost the ball 4 or 5 times within the 1st 3 or 4 minutes from coming on and he couldn't afford this to happen in midfield.
Nod.E Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Mills cost us this game, such a ****ing stupid thing to do. Some of his clearances have led to oppositions goals as well, I can think of at least two or three occasions this has happened. However his red card against Forest was not his fault. He didn't get a red card at Forest.
Master Fox Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 i havent seen the red card incident, was it a red or not? Never. The ref was a fvcking moron
Matt Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 As I said can't really comment to much but I can question things and i'm gonna do it. Mills, Not got 100% faith in him, he makes many mistakes, he has got sent off twice and arguably cost us 6 points (Against Birmingham and Hull), I'd drop him and make a point for a few games. When we signed him I was delighted, I considered him one of the best defenders in the Championship, As I said I don't know whether today was his fault or a referees bad decision but i'm losing patience with him.
