Hull Post Match

Just feel cheated, sending off won them that game. Anyway we go again next Saturday and start another march up the league, but every point we drop is making it harder for us. Mills is a good player and shouldn't be villified for this sending off when the midfield was missing at the time and Bamba had completely missed the ball. And then theres the fact it wasn't a sending off, only a penalty

From the match thread...

What a thick thing to say. He was asked to play in a position which we know he can't play in these circumstances. We were 2nd best for the whole game and there were only about 3 good individuals performances.

Mills let us down by giving away an unecessary penalty and getting himself sent off AGAIN.

How many times did Danns and Wellens give it away, only for Hull to waste a chance?

Same old scapegoats for every setback.

It's weird, under Sven I disagreed with most of what you said. Under Pearson I agree with most of it. :S

The team battled well enough in the second half but it was only a matter of time, was like 45 mins of attack on defence, and maybe they would have seen it out if Pearson's regime had been looking after our players fitness all season.

What the game did show - even before the sending off - was our lack of an effective wide right player which needs sorting as early in jan as possible.

We'll do this shower of shit next season on our way to the championship title, fear not.

One of those games that you can't take much from due to what happened. Onwards and upwards.

completely agree, Mils sending off unlucky seems mclean dived

just have to say Hull didn't deserve a win a point would have been about right but look to next game. 1 positive the back 4 with SSL in seemed solid just a long range strike that sunk us

I thought Gally did alright personally.

I'm not even that upset right now. I saw plenty of positives in there.

Big games from Kasper, Konchesky and Nugent.

St Ledger put a good shift in as well, looks improved under Pearson.

Be grateful you're not about to get a torrent of Facebook abuse from Hull fans like I am. I'm not even going to give them the satisfaction of being frustrated, that game was never going to end well once we went down to 10 and frankly I'm more concerned by how Hull played than how Leicester played. They looked very short of ideas and really needed that inspiration from Koren. Barmby didn't have a clue. I strongly suggest you relax tonight and concentrate on next week, and I hope our players do the same.

After tactically getting it right for so much of the game, to have Gallagher leading the line basically gifted them 90% of the possession which was inevitable to lead to a goal even if it took a quality strike to win it. Why not bring Schlupp or Howard on to give us an outlet if needs be? Nugent didn't seem knackered anyway. Annoyed, Mills is a penis as well.

If you take off all your strikers, whatever the situation, you deserve nothing in my book.

To be fair we had done very little going forwards and it seemed like the only time Nugent was picking up the ball was out wide. He wasn't getting into the game, and Gallagher seems to be better at getting balls to dangerous places when in the corner ; although today he didn't.

Danns was awful, he doesn't deserve to wear the shirt been a huge disappointment since he joined. Like the look of Konchesky today he seemed very solid and I still think he could play int he PL for a lower side. Kasper was great again, I am still clueless as to why he is not playing at the top of the game. Bamba seemed to play well. Everyone else was mediocre, but they all put in a good defensive performance until the end. Disappointed but proud of the fight that we gave. Was impressed with Stewart we could do with a player like him. And I was thinking how little Koren had done then he scored like that at the end.

Mills cost us this game, such a ****ing stupid thing to do.

Some of his clearances have led to oppositions goals as well, I can think of at least two or three occasions this has happened.

However his red card against Forest was not his fault.

Birmingham?

Cruel. Why bring on Gallagher when you're holding on for a draw? :dunno:

He came on for Danns which at the time was like swapping a nissan micra for a roller, but as we sat back even more it isolated Gally who needs players around him to dink the ball to

In hindisght fernandes for Danns would have been better & Big Steve for Nuge who was dead on his feet

Come on you can't blame Bamba for missed kicking out at someone when there was no need. He only has himself to blame.

Wellens, Danns and King were gubbins today. We lost it in the midfield.

I'm in complete agreement. Logging off now for a pizza.

Reasonably happy with the performance. Heroic defending at times.

How can you put another person up front when you are down to 10 men away from home, you would have completely compromised in the midfield or the back. Ideally you would have kept Nugent on but he was spent and Howard wouldn't be any more effective due to his lack of mobility. Just need to move on and not dwell on the result, they can have their 1 day of glory but there are 26 games left (I think :P )

Alan Young's big gob's fault.

Ah who gives a fook about Dull City and their pathetic and rather effeminate maul.

Good luck to em' if that is their revenge filled point to prove.

We were there today just window shopping. Hmmm we'll have him, and him and him.

The Leicester fans who were there certainly sounded like they appreciated our effort with 10 men.

Unlucky boys. Onwards and upwards an all that.:scarf:

Two numpties on the radio. Mills is taking it yet again.

Hull were poor. They're in and about the playoffs. Good, the rest of the league must be awful. As they're poor that's one less team to worry about post-January transfer window.

At least Danns can make a nuisance of himself, hassling and tackling, that's not Gallagher's game.

Looking at the match thread, it seems to be split 50/50 with opinions of the Mills pen/sending off. My view:

1) Mills made a great and I mean great initial tackle

2) The ball was running away from McLean

3) Why the f**k did Mills then raise his leg/foot towards McLean after the initial challenge clearly giving him the reason he wanted to fall over?

From the first two or three camera angles it looked like a shocker from the ref, however the revealing shot shows for me that Mills was to blame. I agree with the sentiments of those who think the rules need looking into to avoid the game being spoilt by a sending off in that situation but under the current rules I think the ref got it right.

In terms of our performance, thought we were slow out of the blocks at 11 v 11 but probably would have grown as the game went on. At 11 v 10 it was only a matter of time before we tired, and considering that our defending was very tight limiting them to very few chances. Just had no attacking intent, desire, or personnel to be able to mount effective counter attacks.

And is it me or does Koren always seem to score a goal from just outside the area against us? Sure he did it for WBA too.

Any chance lost with the sending off, they utilised the extra man well playing wide utilising their wingbacks, withstood wave after wave of Hull attacks so dissapointed we conceded soooo late on. Question leaving Gallagher as lone striker not enough pace or strong enough, one chance he had he fluffed his lines.

Leicester faithful were fantastic outsang Hull all day long.

First post match caller on RL....

Is it co-incidence that Mills was sent off at Birmingham and then we went on to lost to Millwall and miss out on 2nd spot? Do the LCFC players want to go up?

And do we think Pearson will get sacked? :frusty::frusty:

What a total cock leech.

I watched it on a stream and it looked like he got the ball (replays and all). Hull were up for this more than we were, points to prove maybe but the sending off was a killer.

Ref was random...
