FrankieADZ Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Shouldn't Hobbs have been sent off in the first half? looking at the challenge it no more than the sort a thing Mills did really. if your going by this ref then yeah he should have, but thats why ref's dont get as much respect as they'd like as they arent consistent. guessing part of the reason is the ref probably bottled it...being a home player and all. <_<
MC Prussian Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Unlucky to lose but not worth getting upset about, though the ref was shite, again. Gallagher is garbage in games like this, might as well not have him on at all and have 9 men. He offers nothing and was greedy at every chance today, trying to take the glory. Though why Np brought him on i dont know, reminded me of the forest away game where Gally came on in a backs to the wall game and didnt work hard at all. We will definitely come higher than Hull they were very poor and were lucky to win. We defended very well and it was a team effort, but why does Koren always score against us? We will bet Posh next week and the next few games are very winnable and i have no doubt we'll soon be in the PO's again. And if Sven was in charge today we would have crumbled. I didn't see us crumble against Birmingham away, though.

Gallagher always wants to play up front, gets his chance today up there, and offers nothing. Ok, he didn't have a partner, but he didn't even try to win the ball, didn't challenge and was greedy when he took a stupid long range shot when Fernandes was trying so hard to support him up on the right. I wish someone would buy Gallagher off of us.
Bryn Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Look, if you're slagging off Gally's performance up front you really are pushing the boundaries of clueless moronity.
Happy Fox Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 The only consolation is that the top two lost today if we genuinely want automatic promotion we need to win a couple of games on the bounce the rest of the fixtures this month are winnable lets not f**k this up please
city1993 Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Tactically NP didn't get too much wrong. Should have brought on Howard not Gallagher but that's all he could have done to improve the situation. Sometimes there's just no way to get around it, Mills got harshly sent-off IMO. We're Leicester City, we always concede a last minute goal, it's in our DNA. Danns let himself down immensely today, was given his chance and blew it. Desperately need to sign a winger come January. Same goes for Dyer. We just have to move on from this game and focus on beating Posh next Saturday at the KPS, foxes never quit.
Cecchini1976 Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Mills had to go, 1st challenge was quality then I have no idea why he brought him down. Nugent was quality ran himself in to the ground. BUT the issue is and still is the midfield, they are not good enough, Wellens and king are rubbish and we need to wide men. Today we defended well and were beaten by a. Good goal, but again even at 11 v 11 the midfield were shocking. I hear so many fans moaning about Beckford and last season yakubu. It's not the strikers it's the lack of goal scoring opportunities created from midfield
Happy Fox Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Away from home we need to be positive to get 3 points I know we were hindered by having 10 men for the majority of the game, but we need to beat teams away from home if we want to go up automatically.

I didn't see it very well but it did look like Nugent was away even if it wasn't a goalscoring opportunity.
dannythefox Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 And again we fail to gain on the top two when they lose or draw! Same old Leicester!
FrankieADZ Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Wasn't he already on a yellow though? I didn't see it very well but it did look like Nugent was away even if it wasn't a goalscoring opportunity. im pretty sure he wasnt booked..not 100% tho, also there was another defender quite near...but there was with the mills challenge too. So...imo Im guessing the ref bottled it; he'll look at that decision and deep down know it wasnt a red for mills....at most a yellow. Wasnt it Hull's Cup final today?
Guest Mee-9 Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Those calling Gallagher are just looking for a scapegoat. It was a poor performance, these things happen. Onwards and Upwards. (Welcome back to me.)
tangosdiscopants Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 any of you actually go to the game today? clear penalty and red card. your manager has even went on the radio and said it was. think you only had 1 shot all game, so for some of you to say hcafc didn't deserve to win is beyond me. just take it on the chin and look forward to signing a bunch of big egos on big wages in january. thanks for the 3 points xx

Still dont think you'll wont do any better than mid table tho.
FrankieADZ Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 I'm glad you enjoyed your cup final...now go and celebrate with a takeaway and beers like a normal person. Oi...I just had a takeaway....didnt celebrate mind...tho the bottom of the league table looks nice atm
kendo_1988 Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 how can people slag Danns off? maybe if we play him in middle of midfield like he's ment to he will be fine.. wen we played palace in the past he ripped us to shreds.. drop wellens play danns in the middle, simple

I agree he shouldn't be played out wide but he hasn't warranted a start either. I don't think you can really excuse performances like today, he had a lot of space to dribble but he was useless on the ball. He couldn't pass, lost it every time he tried to beat someone. The reason he's being slagged off is because he played shocking, and has been a disappointment since he came.
Kitchandro Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Oi...I just had a takeaway....didnt celebrate mind...tho the bottom of the league table looks nice atm I'm having a fallen-out-of-the-play-off-places chinese. When I've recovered from that I'm going to treat myself to a Forest-and-Coventry-in-the-relegation-zone cheesecake.
Bryn Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Pizza and some Christmas tunes folks... pizza and Christmas tunes.
Kitchandro Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Pizza and some Christmas tunes folks... pizza and Christmas tunes. The trees certainly need a bit of decorating
ousefox Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Didn't have a good view to see the red, but the ref was poor otherwise anyway. Still, that's what we have come to expect anyway. Konchesky was quality, and nobody played particularly bad, Nugent ran his socks off and it just wasn't the same without him upfront. Wish Gallagher would have squared it to Fernandes but he was a greedy twat. Knew it would be a long shot from Koren that would win it, just knew it. Oh well, can't argue with the performance, would have been 3 or 4 under Sven
Head Honcho Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 The sending off's we've had this season will undoubtedly come back to haunt us at the end of the season. I reckon they've cost us 4 points already! Saying that top marks to Hull City. We need to put this down as a bad day at the office, pull our socks up and look for maximum points for the rest of the month. Three what I'd call winnable home games in December and Doncaster away makes 12 points from the next four games a distinct possibility. Won't be easy but it's what we need to consolidate our place in the top 6. Chuffed that Forest lost again and need a Cardiff/Brum draw tomorrow.
EnderbyFox Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Wellens was poor today, lost count of how many times he gave away possession trying a stupid ball. You just had a feeling when Gally had to go up front on his own that they were going to score.
Fox92 Posted 3 December 2011 Posted 3 December 2011 Knew it would be a long shot from Koren that would win it, just knew it. Same. He was trying to get a shot in for most of the match, and I knew he would get one of them on target. He is very good from long range though.
