Captain... Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 What's one of those? I'm not sure, but some people think they are important (about half the population). Don't know what the fuss is about myself, Usain Bolt never worries about how much the guy finishing second enjoyed the race, it is up to the other competitors to raise their game if they want to finish ahead of me him.
Daggers Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Again.... No. Not with you. Not even with roofies.

Fox92 Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 Steel City Derby (Sheffield United v Sheffield Weds) All week fans have been saying 'the City is ours' and all that cringe stuff. And today a Wednesday fan said to me 'its way better than Arsenal v Spurs' They overrate that derby so much.

All these derbies are over rated unless it's your team involved.

acooling08 Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 Virtually everything in the charts today. 95% shit.
Fox92 Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 Virtually everything in the charts today. 95% shit. Agree. What winds me up as well is that half of them can't play instruments, don't sing live, don't write their own music and some of them (such as one direction and jls) got in via a stupid talent contest (the easy way, instead of working their way up from playing in little clubs and getting spotted).
lavrentis Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 Agree. I agree a lot of the music in the charts are shit but so what if people take opportunities to get recognised? Just because people went on a talent show doesn't mean they are any worse. The thing that ****s me off about the X-factor is the corporate suits that make the money from it, a lot of the X-factor finalists are nowhere to be seen now and I bet you have the same faces working in the corporate side there now and back when it started. Can't really blame JLS and One Direction for making the most out of the opportunity and tbf they're proabably gonna be here a long time as they are profitable. Who really cares about the charts anyway? Good music is out there now, just buy and listen to it.
skinnydipper Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 Chocolate is over rated but I only realise this after I have stuffed my face with lots of it

I don't care about charts because does it just mean nothing now? We used to buy cd's to help our favourites get to the top but now there is downloads, illegal downloads (yeah I admit I do it) and songs get 'pre released' or something - order to come out in 3 months - I'm like wtf.

Honestly I have never bought music so they could be higher in the charts and I can only really think of a time when that has happened when Rage got Christmas number 1 but that was more a protest than anything. You can still buy CD's, I bought an album twice (Digital and CD) because I want to support the band and I like them, I pay for Spotify as well. Even though chart music is shit, imo we are living in one of the best ages for music, there are so many platforms to listen to music on and there is a lot of decent music out there. It's sad but the majority are just happy to listen to whatever is shoved down their throats by Cowell but it doesn't bother me
Daggers Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Cvnts who actually know some small time stuff about the club but always claim to have the answers to everything in the way a person who communicates with the dead knows your gran had an a, e, i, o or u in her name.
21st Century Fox Posted 28 February 2012 Posted 28 February 2012 Earlier I was thinking about when I did art history years ago and this popped into my head. Bridget Riley. I had to see an exhibition of her work once. I may as well have been shopping for wrapping paper. I then found out she didn't even paint alot of her work and just dictated it to her students to paint for her. One of the most overrated artists I can think of.
Gold Coast Fox Posted 28 February 2012 Posted 28 February 2012 Football must be the most over-rated thing ever? If we lose, my whole week is wrecked but if we win, you could slap my mum with a slipper and id still be happy as larry Football is more than a game!

I get down if we loose, no matter who it is against. I do agree football is more than a game, but some people must realise it is only a game because a lot of people take it to far at times (singing about dead people, sending bombs which I suppose is more out of football, hoping a footballer gets this and that etc).
Saxondale Posted 28 February 2012 Author Posted 28 February 2012 Alan Sugar. Yes, he's made a fortune, rags to riches, blah blah blah. But he's not a infallible as he's portrayed in his TV programmes. He's had his fair share or commercial disasters. Who remembers the Amstrad Em@iler? An utter commercial flop and lost him a lot of money. I think his CEO even resigned over the fact that Sugar was intent on persisting with it, even though it was obviously sh1t.
