Saxondale Posted 13 December 2011 Author Posted 13 December 2011 erm, I would like to point out that the video is also more than 2 decades old - attitudes towards heckling have changed significantly in that time. Go on YouTube and watch some videos of modern American comedians and you will see that, in most cases, nothing's changed!
Saxondale Posted 13 December 2011 Author Posted 13 December 2011 It's probably already been said but, errr... Christmas.
AoWW Posted 14 December 2011 Posted 14 December 2011 I'm agreeing with BornBlue... Christmas... it's starting to piss me off already. Would love to just bugger off to a deserted tropical island someplace and return when it's all over and done with.

cambridgefox Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 Like Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean? Like Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean? Should you be at the shops buying presents for your girlfriends birthday.or you might start roaring if you hear"lonely this christmas" by Mud cmon get on with it!
Saxondale Posted 16 December 2011 Author Posted 16 December 2011 Should you be at the shops buying presents for your girlfriends birthday. or you might start roaring if you hear"lonely this christmas" by Mud cmon get on with it! Don't worry, I'm on it!
AoWW Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 Don't worry, I'm on it! Is that really that much of a present? And surely referring to your girlfriend as 'it' isn't going to earn you any man points?!!
Saxondale Posted 16 December 2011 Author Posted 16 December 2011 Is that really that much of a present? And surely referring to your girlfriend as 'it' isn't going to earn you any man points?!! I'm stuffed!
J.Lisemore Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 Definetely Russell Howard, I tend to laugh at a lot of things in general but hes not funny at all.
ajthefox Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 I don't think Howard is a particularly intelligent comedian but I can't help but laugh at a fair amount of his stuff. My mum bought me his recent Live DVD for my birthday no thanks to any request but I enjoyed it. I like how simple and honest a lot of his comedy is, he just seems like a normal bloke who is funnier than most who gets up and makes people laugh. He doesn't have an agenda, he doesn't act a certain way because he knows people will like it and there are no false pretenses.
Rincewind Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 I quite like him. He comes across as natual and says things others may be thinking. He also finds some bizare footage in his show. Also good how he ends with the 'its not all doom and gloom' which is mostly a tribute to ordinary people.
SystonFox Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 believe it or not some people hate the fact Howard comes across as a "do gooder" and a "goody two shoes". bizarre comments imo i find him brilliant, been to see him live and he's very much an observational comedian which i tend to prefer rather than a made up story teller (Lee Evans springs to mind). i'd say Russell Howard is under rated if anything. its just my opinion
Rincewind Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 I like it als when sometimes the mystery guest turns out to be a martial expert of some sort. He genuarily looks wary of them.
Fox92 Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 Definetely Russell Howard, I tend to laugh at a lot of things in general but hes not funny at all. Agree. He is so annoying as well. I don't find 'stand up' comedy funny anway (I do like Frank Skinner though) and I cannot stand Russell Howard - he always ends up talking about one thing
EnderbyFox Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 Agree. He is so annoying as well. I don't find 'stand up' comedy funny anway (I do like Frank Skinner though) and I cannot stand Russell Howard - he always ends up talking about one thing Haven't seen any of his live tours so can't comment on that. Have to say though, his TV show is hilarious !
Len Finsbury Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 Definetely Russell Howard, I tend to laugh at a lot of things in general but hes not funny at all. This is definitely true. I saw him live and he was very good for 45 minutes. Unfortunately he was on stage for an hour! The last 15 minutes were painful. However, I don't think he's been the same since he ditched Roger De Courcey.
ajthefox Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 Agree. He is so annoying as well. I don't find 'stand up' comedy funny anway (I do like Frank Skinner though) and I cannot stand Russell Howard - he always ends up talking about one thing So you don't like any form of stand up at all apart from Frank Skinner?
Fox92 Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 So you don't like any form of stand up at all apart from Frank Skinner? I am not a fan of stand up comedy, no. Frank Skinner is alright, yeah. Still not a fan of stand up comedy though.
Bugg Posted 19 December 2011 Posted 19 December 2011 Anything made by Apple YES! The iPhone/iPod has abysmal battery life, and macs are only really good for getting out in Starbucks to show off how "indie" you are. Overpriced rubbish.
