foxoffderby Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Can't see it anywhere else. Please merge if already done So no coaching offer According to Sky Sports Nigel Pearson has confirmed Leicester City are in talks to cancel Bruno Berner's contract ahead of the opening of the January transfer window. Berner joined the Foxes during Pearson's first spell as manager in 2008 and has made almost 100 appearances for the club. However, he has not featured for Leicester this season, either under former boss Sven Goran Eriksson or since Pearson returned to the helm. The Swiss stopper's deal expires at the end of the campaign, but Pearson is trying to reach an agreement for the 34-year-old to leave now. "We are trying to come to an agreement to settle his contract," said Pearson. "He is a fantastic professional and a delight to work with, but players do move on."
jonlcfc1990 Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Hope he enjoyed his time at Leicester a true professional and a great player.
cc_star Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Good servant for the club, hope he does well where ever he goes.
Corky Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Bruno was superb in his first two seasons with us. That goal against Forest is my favourite memory.
Yojoe36 Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Bruno was is a fvcking beast. Good player. I'm sure he'll do well in whatever he does next.
Bayfox Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Bruno, thank you for the goal at Carlise which made the long trip more worth while and for the effort at Crewe, excellent professional some players could learn a lot from the way he conducted himself.
Happy Fox Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Are we going to expect a blog with a scathing attack towards NP?
SemperEadem Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Always put a shift in and poped up with a good few goals. Had a very good bond with the fans I sure will always be welcomed back.
Captain... Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Are we going to expect a blog with a scathing attack towards NP? Unlikely, maybe towards Sven, he was pretty much ever present under Pearson in his first spell, but is rightly being kept out the team by better players at the moment. It was Sven who decided to drop him and never give him a chance despite playing well when Sven's hand was forced with injuries and cup ties. It was Sven's treatment of Bruno more than any other player that really made me lose faith in him, a class act with bags of experience we needed someone like that in the second half of last season, as much as PVA and Cunningham were good promising youngsters they were often exposed and out of position. Bruno, I bid you a fond farewell, great player, great pro.

Anyway, thanks for everything Bruno.
Foxhateram Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Loved Bruno as a player. Met him a few times as well. Really nice guy. Wish him the best of luck in the future. Shame some of our current crop of players don't have the same type of professionalism as Bruno has. Was hoping that he would join the coaching team but I guess he wants to play for a bit longer else where. Think this could be the start of a Fox Cull.
dannythefox Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Hope he does well in what ever he decides to do and he can take Wellens, Howard, Oakley with him!
MikeyT Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 Consummate professional and a really nice guy. Wish him all the best in whatever he chooses to do next.

Basingstoke Fox Posted 21 December 2011 Posted 21 December 2011 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO . Bruno is my favourite player out of everyone we've had since I started supporting Leicester. I don't want him to leave! Having said that, it's only fair that we allow him to. Goodbye Bruno. I'll always remember you and your time here.
