Happy Fox Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 BertLcfc BertLcfc Get some money on Portsmouth to win tomorrow. All is not well at #lcfc 6 minutes ago Sparkylcfc Mark Masters @ @BertLcfc What's occurring Bert ? BertLcfc BertLcfc @ @Sparkylcfc the morale of the squad is in bits, fans are getting restless. Players not being given a chance when they said they would be.
accessory Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 humph, I don't like the idea of bust ups in the team at all It won't have been the first this season. Glad to see Pearson's taking no crap though..
lcfcsnow Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Hardly a surprise, stick Pearson in the middle of a squad containing many egos and personalities and you've got a right mess. Completely the wrong choice of manager for this situation, it'll be a miracle if he turns it around.
accessory Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 If he's given enough time or money, he may do. But don't expect anything this season.
Corky Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Hopefully this will have a galvanising effect on the squad and we show what we're about tomorrow.
Mee Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 No matter what money is spent, morale and good spirit in the team is a massive factor. Without that the team falls apart. I'm just hoping that there is a character in there who can get everyone morale to a decent level. Results will help this, obviously, but for some reason i have a feeling that some players don't cares about playing for the team.
accessory Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Having a grievance with a manager is one thing. Airing it in front of an audience is another thing entirely. It seems Pearson was left with only one option. Good job it wasn't Schmeichel or Nugent..
ithuriel Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Sound's like certain player's maybe know they are going and the tantrums have started.
Jimmy Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 http://www.mirrorfoo...icle847265.html Why the **** do i bother supporting Leicester. Hmm yeah, lets Transfer List a player who is bothered about not playing, who is gutted when hes dropped. its happened a few times now, hes been dropped after putting barely a foot wrong. If Pearson let that stand he'd lose any authority over the squad, you cannot go up to your boss and speak to him like that, especially in front of his boss, what SSL should of done is ask for a word IN PRIVATE, then what ever was said would of stayed between the 2 of them.I t was harsh to drop him for Bamba but he plays badly when he plays WITH Bamba
Father Ted Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Our last time with Pearson was built on a tight knit squad with great team morale and spirit. NP will turn it around by February.
80footgiraffe Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Now now Bert no need to get all arsy... I've never said anything to you I don't think? If you like SSL that much then fair enough.. I don't agree he's better than the other three options actually.. And that's my opinion.. That's not a question.
cc_star Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 People getting their knickers in a twist over a fringe player, who Sven never played unless he had to & NP hasn't played unless he had to... A player who had an opportunity & pretty far from took it Like a £5.5m club captain is bench-warmer when SSL was never anything above average Get him fecked off... and if anyone wants to join him like Pants, Johnson & Danns... we'd be non-the worse for it Just hope we get some replacements earlier in the window rather than lastminute.com again
cc_star Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 I hope he is on the transfer list. He seems to come across as a possible negative dressing room influence to me. I ve never rated his skill or more importantly his work rate. I could be wrong about him but that's the feeling I get. I don't overally rate Mills ethier tbh. He's cost us alot this season so far in money and more importantly points. I think there are a few workshy, self-overated players in the squad. Our squad and club is in a bit of a mess. Depressing times. Hope it doesn't last. Yep, we really need to get rid of quite a few signings (and established players too), not sure anyone will take them on their presumably rather large almost Premiership wages They'll probably sit on the sidelines rotting the club from the inside whilst NP gets the blame for former regime's mistakes from the blind rabble who fell for the dream & false promise that we could buy the league hook, line & sinker

cuddly ken Posted 31 December 2011 Author Posted 31 December 2011 Two sides to every story here, firstly why didnt the manager have the decency to pull SSL aside & tell him why he wasn't playing? Instead of just announcing the team before the game, players have pride plus what's wrong with being unhappy at not playing? Also what the hell are the owners doing in the dressing room when these things are going on or pre game? So what has SSL done wrong? Got upset as he wants to play? Felt that Pearson hasn't kept his promise that of you do well you keep the shirt? What example does it give when player can get sent off or play badly then walk straight back into the team? If Pearson didn't rate SSL then fine at least he should of had the decency to be honest with the player. SSL wanted to play for the foxes as he liked it there from what I'm told. The sad thing is he wont be able to show his top form that he did at PNE & ROI, which would come with a run of games. An on form SSL is the best defender outside the Prem, Trapattoni doesn't pick bad players. Leicesters loss will be anothers gain in my opinion!
Jimmy Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 why should SSL get special treatment, King was dropped too, he didn't throw his toys out of the pram, SSL is a known knob with an inflated sense of his own ability, he's cause problems at literally every club he's played for

What happend to Pearson saying "everyone will get a chance" then there has been rumours of him saying Mills is the club captain that's why he plays. Maybe SSL has gone about it in the wrong why by showing his frustration in front of the rest of the squad. But I'd rather have a player coming out and showing his dissapointment at not playing rather than not giving a toss and being happy to sit on the bench and picking up his wage.
Kitchandro Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Well there's only one thing to do and that's get rid of all the trouble makers. If Fernandes and Johnson don't want to be here they have to go, If St Ledger is causing arguments he can follow. And anyone else who is has an issue with the way things are being done. Pearson's former success was built on a great squad togetherness, not just the starting 11. I am confident he will do the same with this lot, though it may take time. If it's just those 3, let them go and they won't be hard to replace. Hopefully it's not mass dissention.
adamrwood Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 I cant help but think ssl will come back and bite us in the ass. Why didnt we try ssl and mills at the back and bamba in mid with king. Would have given king the freedom to roam forwards more and be prolific again. Also a mills/ssl partnership seemed to work well whilst bamba was out.
Callabinho Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Are we surprised? We all know how hard Pearson is, we all witnessed what happened to D.J, it's a shame because I like SSL, and I agree that he should have started the last game, but Its been proven if you throw your toys out of the pram with Pearson, you've pretty much got rid of yourself.
Babylon Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Got to agree with all of that. Right, can people stop bringing up this "everyone gets a chance" crap. Pearson did not say everyone gets a game. He said a chance, and a chance can quite easily constitute a chance to impress in training etc. In fact I would say it's rather more likely to mean that!! Do people think he'd drop Konchesky to give Ball or Berner "a chance" or Kasper to give Weale "a chance". St Ledger has had quite a few games this year and has once again been nothing but poor or average. It truly amazes me the number of fans we have who take the side of an average, disruptive player. Over the manager trying to sort the shut out he was left with.
